will Celine be on his Tv Special?

Oprah mentioned the special will be airing in December on PBS.

 

The $2 million one-night only musical event was filmed for broadcast this December on all PBS stations nationwide while the CD/DVD of the show will be released by Warner Bros. this fall. The event was the star-studded David Foster & Friends concert held Friday, May 23 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center. It was an almost fourhour musical extravaganza that featured tour de force performances from Foster’s friends such as Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Katharine McPhee, Peter Cetera, Brian McKnight, Babyface, and Boz Scaggs.

Celine's name is not mentioned there but neither is Barbara Streisand's (and David said on Oprah that Barbara makes an appearance but I wasn't sure if he was referring to a song on the CD or an actual performance on the DVD). I'm sure they will somehow incorporate the A New Day performance he did with Celine (especially if he wants to boost sales ).

Yes, pre-recorded in Vegas but re-recorded in New York feat. Charice. Unfortunately that's the Got To Be Real we will find on the DVD...

Celine is included on the upcoming CD/DVD 'Hit Man: David Foster and Friends' scheduled to be released on November 11, 2008. Celine and David Foster's duet performance of "Because You Loved Me" is part of the DVD portion of the album. Other artists included on this release are Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Brian McKnight and Katharine McPhee. Stay tuned for more details!

Well, we know that Celine INC can sometimes be, uh, how do you say.... unoriginal, so I am thinking that BYLM was the only song on the song list for AND that David produced and the show wouldn't have to be REALLY changed at?

 

Of the songs on the song list at the time, David produced:

 

TPOL

BYLM

TLYM*

 

*He was credited with being the musical composer on one source, the co-writer on another source and the overall producer on another for this track.

 

It appears as if a piano was set on stage, Celine introduced David and then they performed the song together. Imagine if they tried that with TPOL or TLYM... there's a lot moving around on stage, so the production value would have gone down on both of these numbers if they were changed to be Celine, David and a piano. LOL Not only that, but Celine would be lip-synching these songs standing right next to the man who originally produced them... how embarrassing. I don't think they'd let that happen. ha ha. So, I suppose BYLM was a "decent" choice, all things considering.

 

BUT... imagine how cool that night's show would have been if Celine had introduced David and he introduced a different song to the audience, retelling his story of the studio experience with Celine, when he first heard of of [kinda like on A&E Bio.], then they performed ABM? That would have been explosive. I guess I would never be hired by Feeling Productions since I'm too unoriginal or creative, but that woulda been a show stopping performance, and 4100 audience members would have been given a real treat.

So, Celine wasn't actually at this concert, it's just a recording from AND of BYLM with Daid Foster on the piano?

 

I can't understand why she's singing BYLM. I'm getting bored of it!

 

If it's a one-off like this she should go out of her normal comfort zone and sing IACBTMN or TLYM 100% LIVE!!
