OTTAWA - Celine Dion's Taking Chances world tour is coming to Ottawa but it's just a matter of when it will happen here.

 

"We are holding many dates for Celine Dion, but we just haven't confirmed a date yet," said Tom Conroy, Scotiabank Place executive director. Dion did two shows at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto earlier this week and plays the Bell Centre in Montreal this weekend, before heading off for more U.S. dates this fall.

 

She returns to Toronto on Sept. 27 and then back to Montreal in February with three shows beginning Feb. 13. It's likely an Ottawa date will be close to those Montreal concerts.

The Ottawa Senators have several home dates in February, including Feb. 3, 5, 7, 19, 24, 26 and 28 but the rest of the month is wide open. Conroy said with the Ottawa dates "all over the map" he's hoping the concert will be sometime next winter.

 

He said he has no idea about ticket prices until he gets word from the concert promoters. In March Dion continues her lengthy world tour with more dates overseas. Former Ottawa singer/impressionist Gordie Brown is opening for Dion on the tour.

And what about Vegas they told us she would do that again in 2010... I think we just have to wait and see.. but overseas can also mean Latin America and New Zealand/ Australia/ Eastern Europe... in other words.. overseas for them can mean ANYTHING exept North America..

this is not fair! why are they keeping us in the dark like this! I would love to see Celine again and the closest she's coming is Miami and Fort Lauderdale next year & that's already out for me. Fingers crossed she comes to the Caribbean!

One thing I've been wondering since all these added dates started popping up....what happened to her break and plans for another baby?

Saint John, NB is only a hop skip and a jump from Montreal in Feb.........Sure the harbour station may hold only 8,000 people but charge $250 a ticket lower bowl and $100 upper bowl.......You'll sell out in seconds FLAT cause the whole freakin' maritime community will go nuts to get tickets!

This is getting stupid. I love Celine and of course want everyone to have the chance to see her, but I don't really see the point of her going back to countries she's already been to on this tour. And I definitely dont understand why they keep changing the date of when the tour will end. Can't they just make a decision, tell us, and stick with it? It's getting stupid.

And I hope they mean only a few more shows in March, and not extending the tour by months- the baby, and a rest, really need to be priorities. We know that's what Celine wants and the longer she waits, the harder it's gonna be

Any thoughts guys, on when we think it will actually end?

I'm debating if I should buy tickets for that show...I already saw her twice at $200 a ticket..it's expensive...on the other hand, Ottawa is my hometown so I SHOULD be going...

I'm kinda lucky in a way because if I decide not to purchase tickets, I can still see the concert because I work at Scotiabank Place as an usher part time. So this would mean watching the show and getting paid for it!!

But if Céline still wishes to tour in Spring than... I will just make sure to get tickets for these concerts when the dates get announced!

I believe the rumour about more concerts in Europe that we've heard about 2 months ago may really be true!! OMG, I miss Céline and the fans so much already so I will be more than happy to look forward for seeing her in Spring again!

 

Of course I wish her the best and I know she deserves a good, long break! But it's she who decides and if she wants to give more gigs than it will be my pleasure to be there again!

I have an URGENT question about buying tickets with Team Celine membership through www.celinedion.com.

 

I just became a member and have activated my membership with the activation code they gave me.

 

Team Celine member tickets go on sale on Friday morning. I want to buy them through Ticketmaster on the Web. I just went to check on the Ticketmaster site just to make a test. I can choose Team Celine tickets but it's asking me for a password. Where do I get that?

 

Or should I have bought the tickets and the membership TOGETHER????

 

Also, am I an official Team Celine member with a membership number??? Will I get my stuff in time to pick-up my tickets the day of the venue?????

 

So many questions....... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the TeamCeline questions, I highly recommend you contact them directly. If I remember correctly, when the tix came out last November I think we got the password a few days before on celinedion.com . Can somebody else confirm this info??

Maybe the password is your TC membership number? It was like this way when I bought TC tickets for Paris and Antwerp - the ticket seller's website asked me for password and I had to enter my membership number.

You should see your membership number when you'll enter your TeamCeline account. Just log in to TC and check.

Now the only thing I'm worried about is not receiving my membership kit on time as I will need my membership card to pick-up the tickets on the day of the concert.

All you gotta do is print the "your account" page and present it at the box office on the day of the concert...
