Yes I think it is the longest one indeed. 18 seconds, I believe, including the entire sentence she sang.

I think he is referring to the LTAL tour English medley. It was excellent indeed. She sang The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Because, Tears in Heaven, All The Way.

Ah yes. That is a good one. I wish she would have done the acoustic medley of hits on tour that she did on Oprah in 1996 or 97. WDMHBN, IYAMT, TPOL. So good.

I don’t understand peoples love for If you ask me to. This song sounds so incredibly dated. I don’t particularly like it. I think it’s a wasted slot in the set list. I don’t even understand how it got chosen for the tour. She could have included Think Twice or WDMHBN instead. There are so many songs that are much better. I think her early 90s performances of it are great. It’s like LCMM — she never really gave a great performance of that song since the 2000s.

 

I love the studio version, but she wasn’t in great vocal shape while singing it during the CWT…even in the lower key. It’s probably one of the harder songs to make it sound modern, but I think Patti sings it in her setlist and it goes over well. I imagine some creative arrangement could be found

I love IYAMT! It’s pure 90’s nostalgia. Certainly one of Diane’s better songs and Celine sounds divine on it. I can’t stand Patti’s screamo version of it.

Yes, it's funny. Why don't they upload a full concert/a couple of videos for an anniversary?

If they give you too much then they will have nothing for the coming years. So they drip feed one video an anniversary and all the people in the comments put hearts and "we love yous" and are fooled into thinking they are blessed by getting one video of something we already have access to.

I’m not complaining tho keep it coming!! I hope they will release the full concert on Apple TV/iTunes. Make it all digital so it would be more clearer

No that has already been... the album/video was released in August 1999... so they missed that 25th anniversary. It was very quick after the concerts! Only 2 months... those were the days!

 

 

But I agree with the comments above, just release the whole concert at once! But the concert we really need is Live In Memphis!!

imo they should release Brussels 1997 as they had planned previously, yet for some reason that release was canceled and they went with Memphis instead, which was just again one of their poor decisions. From the clips we've seen, I would argue she was better vocally in Brussels and the crowd was more lively.

Of course I would prefer an Open Air concert from the European FIY Tour (Brussels, London), but I doubt that they will release it.

But why didn't they release LIM on DVD? Sorry, I don't get it.

Well, Barbra Streisand started pulling things out of the vault in her late 70s and sales are not as you'd think because her fanbase is dying. The same would ring true for Céline I imagine. There's no time like the present.
