doveceline Posted August 9, 2008 at 09:31 AM Posted August 9, 2008 at 09:31 AM To be frankness, i am not very fond of the part when pianist LangLang with a little girl playing the piano part. The girl looks not active enough, just sits there. And Lang Lang plays so hard and really scares her. And the theme song"You and Me", what do you guys think? Not Passionate enough, but sounds very peace and beautiful. A little short. Why Sarah Brightman, i personally think cause she is from London, UK, and London is the next host city in 2012. doveceline's spacewww.spaces.msn.com/jennywu84510http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/doveceline/jenny%20wu%202006/2006-4.jpg

It's childish like a lullaby, definitely the worst choice for an Olympic theme song. No. They answered because they want a foreign female singer and the Chinese composer like her. So that's all. I'm glad he doesn't like Celine. Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
doveceline Posted August 9, 2008 at 12:33 PM Posted August 9, 2008 at 12:33 PM ya, maybe u r right, bellamy, watched television again this afternoon, very short, and makes people sleepy. If let Celine sing with Liu Huan, must have a very different feeling, very moved, like"I know I loved you". Yap the Dirctor Zhang Yi Mou has told the press the reason why chose Sarah, but anyway, makes some people think that way. And Sarah sang some Chinese Lyrics, right? I heard "shou qian shou". To be honest, i really don't know what she was singing without the lyrics... doveceline's spacewww.spaces.msn.com/jennywu84510http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/doveceline/jenny%20wu%202006/2006-4.jpg

Bellamy Posted August 11, 2008 at 01:02 AM Author Posted August 11, 2008 at 01:02 AM Friday night's NBC telecast of the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony was the most-watched and highest-rated non-U.S. summer Olympics opening ceremony broadcast ever. The Beijing event averaged 34.2 million viewers! According to the Hollywood Reporter, in the nearly 50 years of televised Olympics, that's higher than any previous non-domestic summer opener — up 35% in viewers from the Athens ceremony in 2004 and 25% higher than Sydney in 2000. NBC's performance was far above industry expectations. Insiders had estimated that NBC's event last night would drop about 11% from the Athens Games opener. Plus, NBC has been pissed on for delaying broadcast of the ceremony until primetime while most nations aired the event live. However, it's argued that NBC's patience may have aided the show in ways not anticipated by the network. Great reviews and breathtaking images saturated the media on Friday. Many viewers probably tuned in to see if the ceremony could possibly live up to the hype. We thought it did! It was absolutely breathtaking!" However, it's argued that NBC's patience may have aided the show in ways not anticipated by the network. If you delay it, they will come After trying to catch some of the events live this weekend (which means late nights for me), let me tell you I am very glad to be able to watch at a 'decent' hour even if it means pre-recorded, lol. China gave us quite a show to watch, and the host countries in the future will need to bring their "A" game.
Love, Posted August 11, 2008 at 01:13 AM Posted August 11, 2008 at 01:13 AM BRAVO! The Opening Ceremony in Beijing was The Greatest Show on Earth! :w00t: :w00t: Congratulations to all the artists, performers, the Chinese people, and Zhang Yimou!
