Bad song choice (ok WORST) ~ BEST fireworks

 

Bad audience dove dance (more like embarrassing) :mdr: ~ BEST lighting of the torch IMO (loved it even more than Sydney's)

 

some Bad outifts for the athletes (Frida needed here :giggle: ) ~ BEST march up especially the paper foot-print

 

 

Other than these, loved the scroll, bronze drum, the 56 ethnic Chinese kids (they were chooo cute)

 

 

But the fireworks were defo the BEST!! :clap:

 

 

Amazing job done, Beijing!! :cheer:

 

 

PS. Loved it when they showed Bush on the screen.. he was like "Am I on TV?? :w00t: " and Laura was like "HDTV, my Texas cowboy" :rolleyes: . Loved his reaction after that :sofunny:

Well, he got a very warm reception from the crowd, didn't he?

 

Wow, Beijing lives up to the grand Olympic Opening tradition. An absolute feast for the senses. The sights, the sounds....just magnificent. My only complaint is that I had to wait almost forever to see my favorite boy hoist the Swiss flag. :giggle:

OMG I loved that ceremony, beautiful, beautiful!! The end with the flame and that famous Chinese athlete soaring through the air to light the torch...amazingggg!!! In my opinion thetheme song wasn't very strong either...Sarah Brightman didn't impress me at all, the Chinese singer a little bit more. It was in fact the only minus in this incredible show :D

Wow and WOW!

It's only the 3rd Opening Ceremony that i saw (Sydney and Athens) and the best one for sure!

Everything was so beautiful! Fireworks were so impressive!! And when they light the flame, i had goosebumps! :wub:

Sad that the song was so boring! I don't know if it's Radio-Canada but the sound was coming from far when she sang and they also talk a little bit during the song lol

this was the most spectacular opening ceremony ever. everything was just so colourful and amazing. this one makes all the others i've seen boring. the lighting of the torch, with that guy running suspended in the air was magnificent. in fact there are no words to describe the spectacularness of it.

It's very cool. I even liked the You and Me song :blush: But one of the coolest things was the PINK flower coming out of the printing press, and then BAM the people come out. I may have confused one of the segments with another, lol.

That's the name when they're on Olympics, they can't use the name or flag of Taiwan.

no wonder.... cause i was like how come it's chinese taipei..... at least chinese taiwan...... oh well...

 

anyway for the opening ceremony, for the fire works not as spectacular as i thought... but love the foot print!

the one who direct (張藝謀don't know how to say it in english)the opening i think he's chinese version of Franco Dragone! lol!!

overall it's good!!! but it's really a bit too chinese....(some part hard for people to understand) and they should have use more like morden technology things...
