I haven’t posted my newest additions in donkey years, because last few years have been crazy! But after switching jobs and moving houses, I finally want to start posting my collection here again! Cos I'm really proud of all of them! :blushing1: Some additions might already be over 2 years old, but I thought I’d show them nonetheless 😉

 

Today, I’ll post the samplers from the 90’s, which I have acquired over the last few years. Going clockwise, I’ll mention the country and song that’s included!

Latest additions this week! It's a vinyl week! :wub:

 

The new LTAL LP, still need to listen to it, but it looks so pretty. It seems to be higher quality printing than the latest French vinyls.

I made a specific post on the LTAL album thread, but Jesus, this piece deserves maybe the greatest fanfare ever in Céline's world of collecting :whee:

 

Has anybody else since THIS before??? :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I just spotted this the past week and I'm still stunned, can't believe after 15 years I've been collecting, I still find singles I knew nothing of its existence, like the Amar haciendo el amor PROMO CD. Well, this should enter right away into the same category!

 

Say IHYTILY was ultra scarce to find, the Australian TLTK was slippery as a slug, the Chilean promo for TYLAM was impossible to find but at least 2 people got it... but THIS?!?!?! What's this?! :bananadance:

 

Well apparently it's an album sampler with excerpts of all the songs in the album, made in Mexico.

I saw this on eBay last week, are we sure this is official? I didn't think about bidding on it because the printing on the sleeve looks really poor, and the disc is not printed, it's definitely a CD label sticker.

 

Edit: Also, the official Mexican release of LTAL has TLYM instead of WITL... :hmm:

It looks amazing, but i have to agree with CelineDionForeverNY, it doesn't seem that official. The disc looks like a self labelled CD-r, you can see the bubbles on the surface. CD-r promo's only started to come up at the end of '99. And if the Mexican LTAL has TLYM instead of WITL, then that doesn't make sense. The catalogue number could work tho, PRCD 97078 fits in the time frame of the other Mexican promo's:

 

DOY PRCD 97027

MHWGO PRCD 97178

I PRCD 97333

 

But also, let's not forget there was a Mexican promo box, including the album and a video, CDSXX486438... so how much effort did Sony Mexico put in this release??

 

Hopefully the buyer will post more detailed photo's soon!

Hmmm interesting observations... Well I do have the Mexican LTAL box set and the printing quality looks very similar to this CD, it has that “plastic look” effect on the surface, but the thing about the tracklist is suspicious yes.

 

I think we could know more if we could read the disc details and writings on the other side.

 

The CD label if its a sticker that would be strange, but I wouldn’t rule out its authenticity only for that.

 

We’ll wait and see for more...

This D'eux Edition, is a 2016 french reissue. In Brazil it's called The French Album.

ps theres no way that ltal promo is real you can see its been cut out with scissors - none of the edges are straight, let alone the cd.

I don't think yours is real. I'm looking at my copy (which was the 1 copy that we all knew about) and your is a lot different than mine. Mine comes in a slim case and the paper insert is a lot different than yours. I can send you photos privately if you want to see the differences yourself.

 

I don't want to post photos on here because in the years since I've bought this cd, I've had a lot of people try to get me to send them HQ photos of the entire cd, case, and insert - my guess has always been so that they could make fakes, but I've never replied back.
