how much have you payed for this edition of "Sola otra vez" ? Not long ago one of these was in Ebay for 100 Euros.

Hello! We just came back from a record fair in Barcelona and got some new stuff:

 

This one is the one I like the most, the Pock It! 3" CD for "Tout L'or Des Hommes":

 

 

 

Then, "The Last To Know" vinyl from the UK:

 

 

 

Next, two "Think Twice" singles, COL 660638 1 and 660638 2:

 

 

 

Finally, "My Love" CD Promotional Single 03742 2:

That is so cool - but what is it? (I can't read anything other than the Ford logo and Celine's name!) It looks like it was from the mid-80s? Was it a special Celine album that you got if you bought a Ford?

 

I know that in the early 90s there were Fords with cassette players, where they gave you a "demonstration tape" with the car that had a mix of popular songs. I wonder if this was something like that.

Indeed! I've thought about the NEED for a physical CD today where to listen the new single like 37 times today. I don't have big speakers to connect my iPod/iPhone so I could listen the song as it deserves, and listening the mp3 through the speakers of my laptop can't be compared to the sound of my Aiwa stereo with virtual QSound and True Bass... So I was getting nervious searching for a CD to play this song... but I had to realize time after time that there's ANY lol

 

How I miss the days of the CD Singles! :down:

 

Can you burn the song onto a blank CD from your laptop and play it in your stereo? (Don't know if that would affect the sound quality, but I love making mix CDs from my itunes collection and playing them in my car, and I never notice the difference).

Actually that's what I did :P But a blank CD... ewwkkk. Being a Celine collector it's like playing a fake CD from her.

The pocket it 3" is rare... I haven't seen it since 2006 on the record fair here in Utrecht... great findings!

It's the presse kit for her 1985 tour. So yes, mid 80's :)

 

Ford was responsible for transportation during the tour. Probably the biggest sponsor.

 

It has some quotes from journalists, a little presentation of the tour and all the dates and cities.

 

My city appears on there. Something that will never happen again :teary:

Actually Luis, thats supposed to be there. Billy is the name of the song. It's printed on every copy! :lol:

 

Great stuff you got in Barcelona. How I'd love to go to a CD fair again. I haven't been to one in about 5 years! They don't seem to ever have them here anymore.

I also love that little 3". It was a very unusual release at the time.

 

Congratulations to you! Now stop buying and start saving for November!
