well I've been told that there won't be any singles made in France anymore (which was our only hope, cos they had the most active singles market till now) so I think it'll be promo's only from now on

And thank God they're still releasing well made promos in cardsleeves, and not those CD-R in plastic bags with a printed photo of the cover (in some cases, not even that)

 

Ah... I'm still expecting to see one of her albums to be released on vinyl LP... the format is back in fashion again and many artists release albums on vinyl now. I guess Sony doesn't include this in their plans for the best selling female artist of all time

Yes at least the promos they've been releasing have been a pretty high standard these last few years. Alone, PAMP, AC, Immensite,

 

I still have some slight hopes for a UK/IRL single when her new English album comes out. Remember that My Love was released here in 2008. not that it did much business. and there are still singles being sold in the major chains here, like HMV. But they are usually for the top charting artists.

 

I take it, Mikael,that you haven't actually got a copy of this promo yourself? As its the eBay photo you posted. Will be interesting to see how much it goes for. But without a radio promo or something, I'm not that excited about getting this one, not at that kind of price.

yeah i wouldnt even know where to go to get a physical single in the hmv even in london....they seem to be nowhere - all you'll see is a few copies of say the x-factor winners single hahaha spliced in with the new album releases - its a sad state of affairs. as long as the promos are still nice like davey says then thats all i can hope for haha.

So here the latest items I've got the past 2 months.

 

Mainly its about autographs (not sure if you're very much into signed items)... The 4 CDs were sold all by the same seller. I was excited that she had the Olympia concert autographed (my absolute favourite live album from her ) and also the Des mots qui sonnent album. Initially these were the only items she was selling, but then she told me she had also Celine Dion and TCOML albums signed, so we made a deal and bought all 4.

 

Then I asked if she knew where they came or if she got them personally, and bingo, she told me they were all signed by Céline after her concerts during the D'eux tour in october 1995, that means the Live à Paris concerts (20, 21 or 22 of october 1995)! (needless to say that I was so excited not only for the Olympia and DMQS copies, but also knowing when and from where they exactly came!)

 

And the item next to them is a signed copie of the Unison VHS I got for just 12 € It has others name on it, but couldn't let it go, its curious to have one of her home videos signed

That promo just doesn't look right at all. The font is very chubby and as for that disk, so cheap. This is the back as seen on the link Jav gave of the ebay sale. I can't believe Mikael might have paid €700 for this.

 

Please don't jump all over me for saying this but - Really? He paid $1,000 for the 'Is Nothing Sacred Anymore' bootleg cd that was floating around eBay earlier this year so why not 700 Euros for this. I'm not suprised at all.
