I guess with some exceptionally rare items (especially CD-R promos) there's always some doubt. However, eil indicates that this item is a CD-R promo, I saw it once before on eBay (around 1999/2000) and my copy looks the same as that one, it features a genuine alternative version of the title track and the seller wasn't seller other items that looked fake.

 

So I'm satisfied this item is genuine. And the radio edit is great!

Wowzers, Where did you get It's Hard To Say Goodbye? Does it have artwork and is there a record label / catalogue number (most probably not if it's a CD-R.) Also what's the CD itself like.

Any chance of a pic, or a link to the original page.

IMHO, I don't think there are any CDs of foreign artists being made nowadays in Poland. In the past, there were but that was in the era of vinyls. Nowadays, all CDs of foreign artists are imported from abroad. Consequently, I wouldn't go that far and state this one you've ordered was made in Poland...

 

My package arrived, and the seller was completely honest: the cassettes are Polish editions, all of them! There's one that its indeed an unique edition

 

You can see they are made in Poland in the tape itself

And (contrary to the standard french edition), the 1F&4T tape can have 2 covers printed to choose, then 2 completely inlays, and it includes all the pictures of the CD version from the rehearsals and the recording sessions (not included in the french edition)

Anyway, I personally have 2 Celine's albums on cassettes and these are "A New Day Has Come" and "One Heart", therefore I can say the only thing that is different is this blue color card in OH cassette which featured some cell phone ringtones service or something.

 

Anyway, do you spot any other differences?

You see it in your own copies, they are made in Poland so they are unique editions

 

In fact 1F&4T isn't the only one which is different and special, but also the One Heart tape. The cover artwork is slightly different from the european version. In the european cassette the background in the spine is completely white, while in the polish edition has the extended picture of the cover. Also, the lettering is bigger in this OH polish cassette, and also the 1F&4T.

About 1F&4T, I have the french edition and it just have the artwork of the cover and back cover inside. No folded insert like this polish edition

But I'm not building my hopes up yet. After comparing all the genuine pictures I found in the forum and the Internet, I think mine is original. The box and the plastic trays look in the proper way, but the booklet with the discography looks suspicious to my view . The quality of them, at least, looks cheap. Those of you who have the original box, please could you tell me if the pictures in your booklet look sharp and neat?

 

Could it be possible that I have got an original boxset, discs and trays, but a fake booklet? That would be the pits to see, mixed original editions with fakes

 

 

@ J-Man: Spanish cardsleeves!! Glad to see one of you buying those I think the last pressing was in 2000 for the TFTEISYF promo.

 

The Unison 7" is great (love small vinyls), but also that 12" PQTME. Lame they didn't release that album on vinyl

 

Also, I got the Ultimate Box today (at last! ). I didn't expect such a great package for a Céline release, but of course it had to come from Sony Japan. I love it!

Today I've received two LP's, Unison and Celine Dion spanish editions!!! I purchased them in a lot of 10 LP's which the seller claimed to be spanish pressings and promotional editions, but he couldn't provided any picture, so I had to buy them at my own risk.

 

I already knew there was a spanish pressing for Unison LP, but never knew or saw a spanish edition for the Celine Dion album, not at any second hand shop, nor a record fair here in Spain (and I've gone to quite a few) And to my amazement, it was totally true when I opened the package this morning . Spanish and promotional editions!!

 

With this new Celine Dion, I count 7 different versions in LP format for that album (and me that thought it only existed that ugly korean edition when I began collecting )

Wow, I've enjoyed looking through everyone's collections. I definitely don't have that much stuff! I have all of her albums, dvds, her books, and all of the parfume sets. However, I still enjoy looking at everyone's collections; you guys have some great things.

Last sunday, the day after my birthday, I went to another favourite singer of mine.. Vonda Shepard!!!

Maybe you heard of her... she was the bar singer of Ally McBeal... After the show she signed cds and of course I got some items signed

and I had my picture taken with her!

I wish I was a member of the CDIFC when I was 2 or 3, I would have got so many nice things like that in the post! It's a shame they don't do this anymore. I remember getting loads of things from S Club 7 in the post when I was younger...
