celinedream Posted July 15, 2008 at 07:01 PM Posted July 15, 2008 at 07:01 PM I think another question that should be added to that survey would be : How much are you prepared to spend for this dinner?me, i'm on a budget travel and i'm already spending around 200 usd for the concert ticket. so i would prefer something not so ultra expensive if you know what i mean. also i have to ask my friends if they want to join me or if they will be attending some mexican party somewhere else so far count just one person for me pls- Quote An angel was looking through,It was you,Yeah you...it'sYou are the REASON.

Love, Posted July 16, 2008 at 02:40 PM Author Posted July 16, 2008 at 02:40 PM i'll be in NYC from sept 11-16 with 3 friends. I was so happy to see this topic today I was like FINALLY!!!! I can attend one of those fan gatherings I read about in this forum... I can't wait to meet all of you...it's going to be great seeing familiar faces (from the forum all these years, from the dvd, etc) finally in person Also, Sept 15th is Mexico's independence day !! so i hope you are all in for some tequila shots !!! LOL Oh, yes... and one little detail: I still don't have concert ticket. I was thinking about going to Newark and NJ too since MSG is sold out...so if anybody has an extra ticket (or 2) for any show please please please let me know!! Oh and maybe some of you remember me for The Celine Dion Video Collection & The Celine Dion Newsletter I used to do many years ago...can't wait to be there! We are glad that you are coming Save the tequila shots for an after-concert night out. I know you wouldn't mind seeing two Celine's lol, but I'm sure you'd rather hear her voice in full glory Good luck on the ticket! Quote

Hey darling, I'm excited to finally meet you as well!Later on, we should go off to a find piano and have a sing-along in the night, as Kev will be in NYC as well. Wouldn't that be nice? Restaurant Updates Well, I have to say that I trust more of the advice of native New Yorkers regarding the most ideal settings for our dinner. I was just on the phone with a catering director of N & S's. One figure he gave me was that for the little, semi-private room of 18 to 20 people, there is a minimum of $3,000 ($150-$167 per person) I know it's nuts! That would mean, everyone gets two servings of their finest steak and their finest wine - to cost that much! But honestly... I wouldn't pay that much for dinner unless it's a super special event. So, what I did was: I asked them about booking a portion of the restaurant in the main room. I expressed that some of our needs, including budgets, and he will see what he can do. So, I hope to get a call back soon. Kathy, those two restaurants sound like wonderful places to meet.I will check with them. I just want us all to have a wonderful setting for us to remember. A delicious restaurant, a beautiful atmosphere, and beautiful people. Regardless, memories will surely be made. Budget Personally, I would pay up to $70 for this dinner. It is a special occasion. However, each of us has our own budgets. So, for each of you, what would be your ideal budget? $20? $30? $40? $50? $60? $70? $71+? Lastly, it looks like we have 26 interested folks! Wicked is one of the most popular shows on Bway, I saw it last month and it's incredible. It's also hard to get tickets to, so you may wanna start checking into tickets NOW if you wanna see it that week. The show doesn't play on Mondays, but they do have Sunday and Wed matinees. Hope that helps! There is also a Half Price ticket center (TKTS) in Times Sq that sells tickets heavily discounted for certain shows on the SAME day only. People line up there early!Joey Quote ~J O E Y~
