Young Children and Celine

All 3 of my sons were brought up on Celine and they went to see her in concert with me back in the 90's.

 

Now, their taste is anything but!

 

They're in their twenties now and take the p**s out of me something awful for being a fan and travelling the world to see her.

 

I guess it was easy to influence them when they were young but it didn't take them long to rebel

My 12 yr old neice LOVESSS Celine and so will my nephew when he get a little older, right now he is only 9 months old, but don't think he doesn't already reconize a good Celine song

 

I've had so much to do with so many kids turning to Celine! My neice goes to school and gets all her friends into it, and I've actually heard stories of her friends mom's getting into her after that Also, my best friends kids love her, and all 3 of her kids are boys, so OH NO!

We have been together for 3 years now, and lately he said that his mission in life is it organize a meeting with Celine for me

I have been babysitting a 5 year old little girl named Hannah since she was a year and a half, and a few years ago I gave her mom a copy of "Miracle" to play when she goes to sleep (she used to have to listen to music before going to sleep). Hannah became hooked on it and had to listen to it every day. She also has "A New Day Has Come", and we used to dance to that album. She calls Miracle and ANDHC "Deborah's music" lol. I showed her some pics of Celine, and would ask who's that, and she'd say "Celine!"

 

It's our jobs to teach the next generation of fans since Sony isn't doing their job promoting her.

When I was pregnant with my daughter - who is nearly 1 now - I played a few of the songs from the Miracle album to my bump and then when she was born, we got up with her in the middle of the night and we tried everything to get her back to sleep and I put the Miracle album on very low so it was very relaxing and she went right back to sleep, I've been doing it ever since so I have a feeling she is going to be a Celine fan like me!

Well I started this thread with my little cousin as the inspiration and so funny the other day we were watching an episode of Friends where they all go to Vegas and stay at Caesar's Palace, she was so devastated and could not believe why Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey did not go and see A New Day it was so cute that she got really upset and had to watch That's Just The Woman In Me Special. I'm thinking now that when I arrive in LA to see Celine I might have a little passenger hiding in my suitcase

I started listening Celine's songs when I was 14 years old. Now I'm 26, and I have my own baby, he is 1 year and a half. Of course, I listened to her songs when I was pregnant. And her voice is always in my head And sometimes my little son listens to her songs. I hope he will be Celine fan too.

And even my 14 yr old niece who doesn't listen to Celine's songs, when she came to me yesterday and saw the poster of Celine which I bought at the concert, she said in admiration "WOW! Celine is so beautiful!"

Hmm...i don't have my children or little kids in my house.I do have in relatives one or two..but..as they're not always here with me..The other thing is that i really live in a society where Celine is not adorable at all.I mean,i didnt find anybody who could love her as i do,but they're some people who really want to listen other songs except MHWGO.Hehe..I think i'm getting into some success with some poeple around me.Step by step,i'll make it.Especially TC takes great success here..so..we gonna see..hope so.. I think I know why kids love Celine. First, the songs (well, you can't love a singer if u dont like his/her songs). Second, her pretty looks. Third, the influence of other fans around the kids.

no joke he watched 15 times the next day! he is hooked!

we watch AND... all the time! he loves the behind the scenes part where she answers the phone like ALOOOO!

Well no, at least not YET, but... I was once a child that Celine passion had rubbed off on I found my mom's FIY tape, and later ATW...ADOS (I was about 10 ys. old) and that's how it all began... in fact my mom has grown a bit tired of Celine over the years as I can't stop listening to her so in fact I'm the much more passionate one... but if it wasn't for those tapes I used to listen to all the time, I guess I wouldn't own a couple more tapes and a ton of Celine CD's...

sadly I have SIX nephews and just two nieces the youngest is just four months so I'm going to do my best to get her to be a Celine fan when she gets old enough! I wish I could get my fifteen year old niece into Celine but she's into that crappy emo rock stuff and I've never even heard of half the bands or singers she listens to. Although she was watching a clip of Celine with me one day and it was from the Audience with Celine Dion the clip with miss piggy and she made a comment about how weird or goofy Celine was and I said oh you haven't seen anything yet! So I grabbed my A New Day dvd popped it in the computer and showed her alot of the behind the scene's stuff and she was practically rolling in the floor she was laughing so hard! and she was laughing because she thought it was funny not because she was laughing at Celine. I also had her watch the Oprah episode from October the one with Milagros and stuff. She willingly sat up with me past midnight and watched everything!!
