Olympics Opening Ceremony would be broadcasted live on NBC on August 8, 8am. So I think Celine would be on Today Show from 6am to 8am. Maybe it will help her view rating too. Many will tune into NBC in that morning. Do you think there's any chance she would sing The Power Of Dream on that day?

 

No one ever performs before 8-830am on the live broadcast Today Show, so she will probably do 2 songs in the 830am 1/2 hour then another 2 between 9am and 10am. They do often show the artists during the 8am 1/2 hour for an interviews and they show the crowd while the artist is getting ready. She may do additional songs that are not televised!

 

She will sing everything live - no playback for the Today Show! I have no idea when to get there, maybe by 7am or so??? Who knows, the area isn't huge but I think they let people right up by the stage so that'll hold more people.

They tape it (opening ceremony) and air it at night in Primetime, they may show a little bit live but it's usually a pre-recorded broadcast.

I didn't get chills from this shallow tune!

 

I want her to sing Love Can Move Mountains there. This is the only English song she puts her everything into and you see and hear it. Everytime it turns out to be sung differently. It's her personal anthem and the anthem of her whole damn English career that speaks only truth and utter truth.

She will def do at least 2-3 songs from the TC album. She is there to promote the North American leg of the tour and the album. I think they will be releasing a 2nd US single and her appearance there is to promote all that. Otherwise, why take the time to come to NYC - her shows here aren't until Sept.

I'd say... don't have your expectations for Celine be too high.

She's never done anything remotely different for the Today Show nor Good Morning America nor The Morning Show.

 

The only song that she's done outside of the usual repertoire was "Blue Christmas" back in 1998, and I haven't seen anything "different" since. It's always been "I Drove All Night," "A New Day Has Come," "Because You Loved Me," and "Love Can Move Mountains." I bet you she will sing at least one of those songs. She likes to take it easy.

 

However, since this is going to be a promotion for her World Tour North American leg - there are some chances that she might sing songs from the tour. My dream (something that's most possible) would be to see her sing "Shadow of Love" and "My Love" on this show.

I haven't been to a past performance but I've asked that same question. Pretty much the earlier the better! I believe that a line forms and you'll want to be in front of that line to get a good spot. I've heard anything from 5am-6:30. I'll probably be getting there by 5:45 as that's the next earliest besides 3:15 (I'm taking the train from Long Island, where are you coming from?)

 

Let me know if you are going and at what time, I'm hoping to meet lots of people that day!

I'm not thrilled on taking the train by myself either, especially since i'm not that familiar with my way around the city. I'm going to just suck it up and go anyway, I should be arriving at Penn by 5:34. If you'd like to meet me there let me know, and we can go to RC together, maybe you know how to get there better than I? We've got time before then, but if you'd like let me know, we can talk beforehand and exchange pics so we know who to look for. It would be great to meet up with peole there and have people to hang out with and talk with. The more the better!
