Oh, I should scroll to the end before I answer to a post. I just saw that you had already found the video 😁🤪

A recent finding of the "uncomfortable shoes"-day, way back in May 2002. My own feet immediately start to hurt, only looking at those pictures of highheels with squeezed in or hanging out toes! And to think that she was running down the stairs and then hopping around imitating Angus Young's famous move with those black Manolos to perform with Anastacia one of my most favorite cover of a rock song (in Céline's oeuvre), makes the "wonder of Céline" even more surreal!

The other shoes weren't found so far but they are Manolo's too.

Ah! Yesterday - after all those years! - I finally found Céline's "Bound-Jennifer-Tilly"-Look (That was my personal "working-title" for that outfit of the "Felix Awards 1994", since Jennifer Tilly's character in the 1996 movie "Bound" looked similar to Céline. I don't know if the producers of the movie took Céline as a fashion inspiration. - Just kidding. :giggle:)

It started with the dress, found on a Vintage page - followed by a laborious deep search to verify. :detective: But information about collections of the 90ies aren't easy to find. So I could only manage to find partly good pictures. The rest are screencaps of a low quality YouTube-video of the runway in 1994, but when watching the video I discovered also the lace bolero and the coat. IMO Céline's choice was perfect. The outfit looks terrific and sexy on her - ok, we could discuss the coat (which took me by surprise as I guessed in the past the "jacket" might be "Dolce & Gabbana", as I only had a picture of her upper body. It was only yesterday, when I found a picture to see it's a coat - so, no wonder I didn't find it so far!).

Lolita Lempicka (born as Josiane Pividal in Bordeaux 1954) is a French fashion designer and perfumer. Her fairy-tale collections are dominated with silk, lace, brocade, sexy negligee dresses, sometimes close to Dolce & Gabbana design.
It's a new designer detected in CelinishCloset - YAY! :bananadance:- although could well be there are more Lempicka's to be found in Céline's 90ies closet …

Thank you so much! Makes me happy! :bananadance:Have still some 90ies in store - so: stay tuned! :-D
And: Yes. Sometimes it feels as if she has worn nearly every couture label on this planet! And surely there are many which hadn't been detected yet - and surely a lot which will never ever be detected.

That galloped across my path recently on another Vintage page: The shirt which looks like Domenico Dolce or Stefano Gabbana cut off grandmother's drapes to put them in the collection for Fall/Winter 1993/1994:laughing: and for sure an ironer's true nightmare! :giggle:
Céline paired it with that green brocade vest - once found by Thomas. I only found more events where she was wearing it, while revising my Céline compendium:

Here's to be seen both in movement (since the low quality video only allowed low quality screencaps): https://youtu.be/hMm_Th11ZUw?si=284V_KbyKsay42Y4

Another Chanel of manyyyyyyyyyyyy Chanel's in her closet. Sometimes I think she must have a warehouse only for pieces of her Chanel-passion. :giggle:

And not only that. I'm sure she would fit in it too without usually age-based-needed alternations.

Suddenly it gets very easy to find things, if you stop searching in the wrong corner (Chanel) and sniff around another one (Judith Leiber). And so another release after "decades" from my (as Thomas renamed it) "hard-to-find-outfits-that-make-drove-all-night-go-crazy"-list. A minaudière of the same collection she was carrying in 1995 & 1996 was auctioned off in 2011: https://www.johnmoran.com/auction-lot/a-judith-leiber-black-and-white-floral-crystal-cy_e21f5b51f9

B.t.w. Leiber designed two minaudières for Céline's Las Vegas shows. One of them was auctioned off in November 2019

For those who don't know: Judith Leiber (1921-2018) created the most iconic, creative, crazy evening bags and minaudières you can imagine. From fries to cupcakes, birds and cats - all made of crystals.

Too less "traffic" up here. This doesn't make fun anymore. There is so much work hidden in every posting. And I'm not that kind of girl who likes to contribute to ghosts, who only enter to read and leave without a sign. Sorry.

I might not respond to every post, but I am very impressed with all your work and I love the devotion you have for finding the right designer with the clothes, shoes, bags, jewlery and accessories you can find!  please keep up the good work! :wub2:

I'm really sorry to read you're feeling this way. It’s absolutely understandable — pouring so much effort and time into every post only to get silence from most people is incredibly frustrating. No one wants to keep creating for ghosts who just read and disappear without a single comment or like.

I truly appreciate all the work you’ve put in and I’ll miss your content. 😟

Im surprised you haven’t at least opened an Instagram account or even a digital catalogue/lookbook/blog to showcase and archive everything digitally. You put in a lot of hard work into discovering all these looks and it would be cool to go to an indexed resource. maybe you can even publish a book!

again, I appreciate the process you take showcasing everything so thank you :)

Thank you, dear Davey! At the moment my joy is simply gone. For ex. if you search for an item for YEARS (!), find it, put some words together, share it with others, and no one or only one/two react that's something that's out of proportion to the effort involved. I always ask myself: Is there no interest any more - or is it just a sign of the overkill of the digital era.
But, who knows - maybe the joy returns, and I will continue to share some true gems of my findings ...

Well - she didn't say totally goodbye to all the "Louis XVish style" of Admirals Cove or Gagnon Laval. But certainly an interesting contrast.

Thank you very much. Well - I'm very sorry. As I've written, I've lost my motivation and joy as I constantly ask myself if the less traffic is a sign of much less interest in the CelinishCloset. Every time I was online, there was NO ONE in the thread. Maybe one or two members. Just reading, not leaving a single sign. That doesn't feel good to me.

I've deleted that posting with the Chanel shoes of "Châtelaine" magazine. It suddenly felt so pointless, posting something I had been searching for so long and no one reacted.

But, who knows. Maybe the Forum changes and my joy returns to share again my findings.
