Just a question to all of you. Do you think Celine has good taste. I mean she has a personnal stylist but when i look at Frida's pictures it seems she just wear the total outfit she saw previously on models. to be stylish doesnt mean to be able to mix different pieces to create one's own style? Why hire a personal stylist to just copy what it's already done?

 

I think you make a good point... Celine's only been given credit for having good style/taste since she hired Annie. Looking at all of her different looks through the ages (of course keeping in mind the changing fashion industry) it takes a bit more to determine how good her tastes are. But we also have to remember that much of what she's worn before Annie was chosen by other stylists. For example, I'm sure during her mid-nineties Chanel era, a stylist was responsible for her look. We all have heard how open Celine is to Annie's ideas. So, I think its safe to say that Celine may not have much of a personal style at all. And she doesn't need to have personal style--she's busy--she can hire people to do that for her! However, she obviously cares about clothes and jewelry, just like so many other people, and wants to look pretty.

I think Celine was playing safe during her Chanel mania era "how wrong can you go with a classic piece of Chanel..." you may think.

She had a few faux pas during the '90's but her style was classic to say the least.

After ANDHC we saw a more "rebel: Celine wearing more dareing things, And I think Annie REALLY open her mind....

I think Celine has always had great style, even back in her early days when she first started singing in English. I think Celine realize on her stylist at times, only because Celine know's she know's Celine's style and Celine can trust her. I don't think Celine just sits back and lets her stylist do all the work. If she doesn't like something she would tell her. Didn't Celine say in Hello Canada mag that she doesn't even need a stylist and she could find an outfit and know the latest fashions even better or just as good as a stylist. I remember her saying that once in a interview.

That's a good but hard questrion to answer since I think we all have a different definition of 'style'. But my short answer would be 'yes, she does have good taste/style'. The only problem is that her taste in fashion is as broad as my taste in music is The mix can be confusing. Yes she does have Annie to thank for a lot I think, and a lot of the looks come straight from the runway basically, but as open as she is to new things I think we can all agree that she wouldn't wear things she doesn't like - and if she has chosen something stylish (no matter if it's the entire look) then her taste can't be that bad, can it?

 

Take this for example:

 

 

Balenciaga dress, Balenciaga shoes, Balenciaga necklace. Copied from the runway, most likely Annie's suggestion, but ultimately Celine's choice. She chose to wear it, she decided she thought it looked good... See where I'm going with this?

 

 

There's a whole other chapter on my personal definition of style, but that doesn't apply to Celine so I'll leave it out

I thought that Balenciaga dress was nice...but the way the bottom fits makes it look like it's almost too small. And we know she's definitely not having trouble in the small area, so it's just weird to me.

I saw Celine in the most gorgeous red maxi dress/gown that is shown on Through the Eyes of the World. I would love a much better pic of this dress.

 

Has anyone else seen it and fallen in love with it as well?

White skinny pants and/or jeans, that at the very bottom of the pants they have laced up ties in the front. She wore them over super high stiletto heels, so the pants just came down all the way almost to the bottom of the heels.

The outfit consisted of this white very sheer blouse, and tight white fitted jacket. You guys found the jeans! Yay! I can say that she wore different shoes with this outfit, so at least we know there is another pic of this outfit out there.

 

I loved how the bottom of the pants laced up over the strappy heeled sandals.

 

The weightloss motivation is from just the whole graceful aspect of the red dress....so....delicate looking and upbeat.

I apologize, as it is the outfit, but just with a different pair of shoes. You guys are amazing. Yay! those pants would be a definite treat to myself for losing weight.

Any body else thinks that the Versace gold dress for river deep mountain high is the worst dress ever and it makes celined body looks so bad? I think so I don't know why she likes it I prefer the Vegas one more

The white outfit from Vegas is one of my favs its sooo pretty and the top is so elegant.

 

And the red dress is gorgeous, when i saw TTEOTW the whole theatre gasped when she walked out in it lol

 

I actually don't mind the gold dress for RDMH from the tour, but agree the vegas one is better. I think the short dresses from the opening of the tour look worse on Celine. You know the one she sings IDAN, she has one in pink, lilac an then the black. I think the lilac looks the worst, the pink second, but i do love her in the black one.

 

As for taste i think Celine as good taste in clothes, as even if she does take whole outfits off the run away, if the outfit is nice she still has good tase. I would say that her style is very classy/classic, but maybe not 100% her own. But i think she dresses a million times better than many of the other stars who have "their own" style.

I LOVED the yellow Dior dress from the beginning of the tour. I think she looked great with her tan self!
