beautyroses Posted June 22, 2008 at 05:51 PM Posted June 22, 2008 at 05:51 PM I know this sounds pathetic but when I found Celine and her music and her voice, I fell in love. I found warmth, comfort, acceptance and most of all I felt safe *nods* i so know that feeling. I think it's really hard for anyone who's not in the midst of all of this to udnerstand what it's like having a performer/artist eman as much to you as Céline does to us; partly because thats all they see her as but also because those people, for the most part, aren't very passionate people. There's nothign WRONG with that, but I think it's easier for someone who loves something, anything, so much that it becomes their outslet (whether be it singing, drawing, skateboarding...whatever) to understand that type of strong emotion for soemone or something. I often get the question from both family and acquaintances, WHY I choose to spend so much money on Céline (and I'm still not as bad as a lot of other peolple), WHY I choose to see the same concert three or four times in a row. I never really knew what to answer them so that they would understand, but...it's an escape. I don't really know how to explain it but it's a break from the world. For an hour and a half; you're in that arena/stadium and that's where your undivided focus and attention is. Everything on the outside, all your troubles and worries and sorrows...fade away for a little while. Not only the concert itself but everything around it: ordering the ticket, the flight, finding a hotel to stay at...all of that takes PLANNING, and planning rewquires time and focus: time and focus you would normally spend on worrying about whatever it is that is wrong in your life at that point, but that is now put towards something positive and fun. Also (and this hit me only yesterday), for me...it's about being a part of something. Coming to these forums, collecting the merchandise, seeing the shows...it makes me a part of something. It makes me part of a world of its own, separate from the real one where things are soemtimes too much. It's an outlet. It's a bubble where thousands of others share the same interest and where I belong. Where I'm accepted and fit in, and that's something I've never had. I know I sound like a pathetic, over-emotional fourteen year-old, but...it's true. I can't help it. It's just the way it is.very well said,we al love Celine and it is nice to meet people that feel in the same way.I sound pathetic obssessed person to my family and relatives and also my friends too,but let's don't care whenever someone asks e why I do love Celine?i simply answer I love her because I love her and there are things you won't understand, you are right about she caught us from outside world because I feel it so much mostly the first time I watched her, I remember I was making dinner I was watching "ACDS" concert and I burned the dinner three times , my mom asks me too why I spend time on Celine and my answer is "we all want happiness and joy and Celine is my greatest joy" Quote http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac137/Venus_1982/new1.jpgAngel of My World[/i]

Ariangelil Posted June 23, 2008 at 04:12 PM Posted June 23, 2008 at 04:12 PM I can't put into words what I feel about this talented singer.... The role she has taken in my life means a lot to me: she is a person whom I really look up to. She is not only an example of a great singer, but also a fine example of a humble human being, an amazing mother and a loving wife... She is my inspiration... She has taught me to believe in my dreams, to go for the things I really long... she has taught me even not to let the man I love go... She is amazing!!!! SensationalCeline Posted June 24, 2008 at 01:38 AM Posted June 24, 2008 at 01:38 AM (edited) I listen to Celine everyday. I reserve her parfume only for special occasions also. Celine is such a major part of my life. Mostly everything on my mp3 would be gone if I took her music off. I love Celine. I don't see how I'd live without her! She's also my role model and my inspiration to achieve and live out my dreams that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Her words inspire me!
