Now that I understand the lyrics it's even more beautiful than before. Btw: Grobandion your little ones are just sooo adorable!!! Quote

grobandion Posted June 12, 2008 at 09:54 PM Author Posted June 12, 2008 at 09:54 PM Well tony, "Aun existe amor" is pretty much the same as "L'amour..." but here it goes: "When you fell asleep next to me, then I have no doubt, love still existsthe hesitation in me, I'll send it to the moon, to live with youthe loneliness of each day, that grew among tears, I'll take it away from me to love you at any cost, to love you every moment, despite so much evilness that's spinning around usWhen you fall asleep next to me, then I have no doubt, love still exists The arguments of ours, knowing who's blame is it, what do we care about it now?in this world, eternal, big, my darling we'll love each other, much, much morebeyond violence, beyond madness, despite so much evilness that separate us when you fall asleep..." well, that's pretty much itbye, take care. p/s: beware of celineargento...I believe she DIDN'T take that cold shower after all... Thanks a lot!! I hope to learn Spanish this year so I might be able to understand her Spanish songs eventually Here is the English Translation of The Prayer I come from an Italian background but if there are any better Italian speakers out the feel free to correct It's such a beautiful song and the reason we used it at my Nonno's funeral the lyrics are stunning The Prayer I pray you'll be our eyes and watch us where we go,And help us to be wise,In times when we don't know,Let this be our prayer,When we lose our way,Lead us to a place,Guide us with your grace,To a place where we'll be safe. The Light that you from I, I pray we'll find your lightIn the heart it will remain, And hold it in our heartsTo remember us that, When stars go out each nightEternal star six in my prayer, Let this be our prayerHow much faith is, When shadows fill our dayLead us to a placeGuide us with your graceGive us faith so we'll be safe We dream a worldwithout violence a world of justice and of hopeEveryone of the hand to its near Symbol of peace The force that us from I, we ask that life be kind. The desire that, and watch us from aboveEveryone finds love, We hope that each soul will findAround and within himself, Another soul to love Let this be our prayerLet this be our prayerJust like every childJust like every childNeeds to find a place, guide us with your graceGive us faith so we'll be safe. The faith we have ignited will be our salvation (or will save us) That's pretty rough sorry, and I finally understand the meaning of some songs losing that "specialness" after their translation, this song doesn't seem nearly as meaningful all in English. But I think that's the basic translation of this magnificent song Denelle Quote
tonybower Posted June 13, 2008 at 03:33 AM Posted June 13, 2008 at 03:33 AM Hey guys Thanks very much for the translations! I've always wondered what she was singing... especially in the prayer.Aun existe amor is indeed very similar to the French version. It must be great when the languages are so close and you find almost exact words to fit the music. Thanks again! Si J'etais Quelqu'un Posted June 19, 2008 at 12:31 AM Posted June 19, 2008 at 12:31 AM I really love her French music. I'm not fluent, but I know the general idea of each song. This might sound lame, but one of the best things about not speaking French is that I can take a song of hers in that tongue and make it fit whatever mood I'm in. All the song needs is to sound either happy or sad. Quote http://oi39.tinypic.com/dzjgva.jpg

takeachance Posted July 17, 2008 at 11:31 PM Posted July 17, 2008 at 11:31 PM Good topic. I cant speak French but the song Pour Que Tu Maimes Encore for me is one of my favourite songs of all time. I dont know what this songs means, but i think maybe this is why the song has always kept so special for me. Celines voice, the music accompanying it, the background singing are all just so powerful and emotional that it is a new experience everytime I to it. I dont need to know what this song means literally to enjoy it everytime, but i can sing every line and so could everyone in Ireland at her concert in Croke park. Now thats what amazing songs are all about. you dont know the words, but it can get to you anyway............ Linn92 Posted July 18, 2008 at 12:39 AM Posted July 18, 2008 at 12:39 AM "Pour que tu m'aimes encore". This song hit the top of the charts in Angleterre---it's so powerful, even for those that don't know French. But I suggest learning it! Soo true:) Pour Que Tu M'aime Encore<3 I remember when I was 12-13 I rented Live In Memphis 1997. Then I bumped over this beautiful love song I didn't know a thing about what I was singing too, but pretty was it ! Pure magic.. I remember once I THOUGHT she sang "Notre Dame" so I kept singing it. When I got older I relized it was wrong xD hahaha... I love Contre Nature too Quote

cmcdaori Posted July 18, 2008 at 04:44 PM Posted July 18, 2008 at 04:44 PM le vole d¡un ange!!!!!!!!!!! yeah! I really like that one too. i think is about angels (doh...the title says it) but I have no idea what it says. It's great though It talks about some kind of love..i translated it somewhere..it's very nice..here it goes.. And I followed the flight of an angel He brought me to you A lash beat And you are there At night nothing else bothers us Reason is a silk thread We feel it more fragile It's good that way But tell me... You, are you still dreaming? You, are you still flying to caress the sky? You, are you still searching? You, do you still want to touch the sun? Et j'ai suivi le vol d'un ange Comme un voyage au fond de moi Juste en fermant les yeux Et tu es là La nuit a ce pouvoir étrange De nous faire aller jusque là Où même les oiseaux N'arrivent pas And I followed the flight of an angel Like a travel inside me Just by closing the eyes And you are there The night has this strange power To help us get there Where even the birds Don't arrive Toi, est-ce que tu rêves encore ? You, are you still dreaming? You, are you still flying to caress the sky? You, are you still searching? You, do you still want to touch the sun? On partait droit devant On rêvait De voler là-bas A l'autre bout du ciel, à l'autre bout du ciel We were barely touching the Ocean Do you remember? We were going straight forward We were dreaming To fly out there At the other end of the sky, at the other end of the sky Toi, est-ce que tu rêves encore ? You, are you still dreaming? You, are you still flying to caress the sky? You, are you still searching? You, do you still want to touch the sun? Et j'ai suivi le vol d'un ange Il m'a emmené jusqu'à toi Un battement de cil Et tu es là And I followed the flight of an angel He brought me to you A lash beat And you are there enjoy.. My song was Goodbye's..it always presented sth very nice and deep for my soul..full of love.. Quote Thank u Jesus. Im in ur hands now.

But I love a lot of the songs on D'elles and I have no idea what she is saying but they still touch me, I love her voice and I think it is the deliverance of it that makes all these different language songs so great even when we don't understand them. I really want to learn French now. I am taking Spanish in Highschool for at least three years, so senor year I am gonna take french!
