Oh yes, those surfaced in 2024 with the exhibition at the McCord Stewart Museum in Montreal "Portraits and Fashion - Quebec Photographers Beyond Borders". Among the exhibited photographers were also works of Monic Richard who not only took the picture for the book and the pregnant Céline but also the cover for "D'Eux" in 1994.

You're missing the point entirely.

Nobody is claiming that the original photo from the official tour book is fake. The issue is whether the version being shared here has been AI-enhanced, AI-upscaled, or AI-reconstructed from that original source.

A real photograph can absolutely be used as the basis for an AI-generated enhancement. The authenticity of the source does not automatically make every version of that image authentic or untouched.

What makes this even more ironic is that you're usually the first person to complain whenever AI-generated images appear. Yet in this case, you've already accepted and defended several AI-enhanced images posted in this thread simply because they originated from an official publication.

Being from an official publication does not prevent an image from being altered later. You're confusing the authenticity of the original source with the authenticity of the version being presented. Those are two completely different things.

Instead of mocking people who are pointing out obvious signs of AI enhancement, it might be worth considering that you've already been fooled by some of these images yourself.

Estás perdiendo completamente el punto.

Nadie está afirmando que la foto original del libro oficial de la gira sea falsa. La cuestión es si la versión que se comparte aquí ha sido mejorada por IA, ampliada por IA o reconstruida por IA a partir de esa fuente original.

Una fotografía real puede usarse sin duda como base para una mejora generada por IA. La autenticidad de la fuente no hace automáticamente que todas las versiones de esa imagen sean auténticas o intactas.

Lo que hace esto aún más irónico es que normalmente eres la primera persona en quejarse cada vez que aparecen imágenes generadas por IA. Sin embargo, en este caso, ya has aceptado y defendido varias imágenes mejoradas por IA publicadas en este hilo simplemente porque provienen de una publicación oficial.

Pertenecer a una publicación oficial no impide que una imagen sea alterada posteriormente. Estás confundiendo la autenticidad de la fuente original con la autenticidad de la versión que se presenta. Son dos cosas completamente diferentes.

En lugar de burlarse de quienes señalan señales evidentes de mejora por IA, quizá valga la pena considerar que tú mismo ya has sido engañado por algunas de estas imágenes.

Thank you very much! You definitely seem like one of the only people here with common sense. I don’t think we should pay any attention to it—I Drove All Night or whatever her name is is always angry. Then they tell us off for sharing our findings privately.

As Blacktooth says, the photo doesn’t actually appear in that book—in fact, you yourself have shown it. It doesn’t even appear on that page of the book. Also, it’s clearly visible that the photo is AI-generated. Celine’s face in that photo is distorted and shows coloring and pigmentation typical of AI. It’s curious that you’re usually against AI photos and now you’re not. Maybe just to be contrary?

I think you may have misunderstood my point. My previous comment was focused on the second point. If the image shows signs of AI reconstruction, facial distortion, artificial skin texture, or other AI artifacts, that would actually support the possibility that the shared version has been processed by AI.

So my position has not changed. I've consistently been concerned about distinguishing original photographs from AI-altered versions. I'm simply trying to determine the origin of the image and whether AI was used to modify it, not defend the authenticity of the version being shared.

That photo is 100% AI-generated. I use a reliable detector validated by Spanish universities. Another matter is whether it was based on an original image, but as any dedicated Céline fan would argue, it has no value whatsoever as a photograph of Céline unless it is 100% original.
