But i went last year in July, and OMG.. it was hotter than H3ll.. maybe some other month of the year when it's not too hot.. i hate bad humidity.. lol Quote "...It's the circle of life. KimboCosmo Posted June 9, 2008 at 04:43 AM Posted June 9, 2008 at 04:43 AM The best time to go is either in May before school lets out or in September or October...coolest months and not much of a wait in line. I never waited over 5 mins for ANY ride...it was action packed all week! CellyDee87 Posted June 13, 2008 at 06:12 AM Author Posted June 13, 2008 at 06:12 AM It is driving or train distance or would you have to fly? I just checked out "O" at the Bellagio looks FANTASTIC Quote
DianaLuts Posted June 13, 2008 at 05:04 PM Posted June 13, 2008 at 05:04 PM In Anaheim, the park hopper includes Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. There was a good advice to go early, as soon as it opens. And go on the weekdays. I would suggest to ride the Space Mountain first, as it tends to have the longest lines, sometimes over 2 hours. Once you ride it and if you like it, get a fast pass immediately, you can go again with no standing in line! Get as many fast passes as you can. Pirates of the Caribbean has long lines too, so going to that ride early is the key. I have not been to California Adventure so I cannot comment on that one. And bring your own snacks/drinks. You will pay triple there. I think the Crowne Plaza in BH should be a good hotel. It is probably close to Beverly Center, where you can shop and see a star or 2. I am not sure if it is close to Rodeo Drive, another place with really expensive stores. If you want a REALLY good picture with Hollywood sign, PM me and I will send you directions. It is the closest you can get to the sign. Also, Santa Monica is pretty and Venice beach is touristy. Lots of cute guys working out on the beach and a bunch of Vendors. There is also Griffith Observatory. I am not sure if they reopened it yet or no. Nearby there is a great restaurant on top of the hill in Burbank called Castaway. Breathtaking views of the valley at night. Knockoff designer stuff is in downtown, little Tijuana so to speak. Don't go alone thou. Those mexicans won't leave you alone. Also a suggestion for a day trip - take a boat to Catalina island just off the coast of San Pedro Quote
CellyDee87 Posted June 13, 2008 at 11:16 PM Author Posted June 13, 2008 at 11:16 PM Wow, that sounds amazing Diana thanks for the info I'm so very excited. Disneyland sounds great, but 2 hours in line though The view of the Hollywood sign sounds fabulous so directions would be great And by downtown for the knockoff designer stuff is that out towards the Staples Center because I remember my travel agent something about that? Yep, just north of staples. there is even a fashion or garment district there. i will reconsult the map for exact street name and get back to you (the hollywood sign) Quote
KimboCosmo Posted June 14, 2008 at 08:32 AM Posted June 14, 2008 at 08:32 AM It is driving or train distance or would you have to fly? I just checked out "O" at the Bellagio looks FANTASTIC Trains here are not really a popular way of travel...however you CAN drive, but I would recommend flying, as it would be approx. an 18 hour drive from New York to Orlando, Florida. "O" is a great show I'm sure...I didn't get to see when I was in Vegas (sold out), but have heard nothing but good things about it...I did get to see Mystere at Treasure Island, and that was amazing too...one of the girls from this forum works for the Box Office at Mystere, so I could give you a little info on that if you were interested. You should search it on Youtube! Quote http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/2765/48940711.png "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams." CellyDee87 Posted June 21, 2008 at 06:40 AM Author Posted June 21, 2008 at 06:40 AM Hey just wondering if any of you know whereabouts Celine is on the Hollywood walk of fame, I had a friend who could not find her when she went, is she near any particular store or something? Thanks Quote
CellyDee87 Posted November 9, 2008 at 06:53 AM Author Posted November 9, 2008 at 06:53 AM So does anybody know where exactly Celine's star is on the walk of fame? Quote
Krys Posted November 9, 2008 at 08:06 AM Posted November 9, 2008 at 08:06 AM her's is somewhere in front of the Kodak Theatre Quote

Pirates of the Caribbean has long lines too, so going to that ride early is the key. I have not been to California Adventure so I cannot comment on that one. And bring your own snacks/drinks. You will pay triple there. Agreed with all that, but Pirates moves super quickly since it's constant - the most I've waited in that is probably 20 minutes (and trust me, I live less than 10 miles from Disneyland, so I've been a lot lol). And also, the "new" Finding Nemo ride - I don't know if the hype has dyed down since I last went, but it's crap and the lines are insane. There is also Griffith Observatory. I am not sure if they reopened it yet or no. Nearby there is a great restaurant on top of the hill in Burbank called Castaway. Breathtaking views of the valley at night. My dad loves that, and I think he went for his birthday this year so I'm pretty sure it's reopened. It's in Griffith Park which is beautiful, so you should drive around a little if you have some extra time. I think all the other ones for LA have been covered (also, if you're going to the Walk Of Fame on Hollywood Blvd, be prepared for anything - I was watching one of my videos that my dad taped of this girl singing and all of a sudden someone in a Darth Vader costume walks through the frame. And, a few weeks after turning 16, I got told by someone that I look like my dad's wife. He's 45 and fully gray. Also, someone in a Barney costume grabbed my #ss). OH and Celine's star - it's in front of Express at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. Last time I went into LA, I spent about an hour on Hollywood Blvd near her star, let me see if I can find pictures or something. Argh, I couldn't find anything, but I believe her star is somewhere around here:http://i33.tinypic.com/1zd7igh.jpg It MIGHT be in the picture there, but it is around there. Oh, actually I did just find a picture I took:http://i37.tinypic.com/24uwzg8.jpgI believe hers is the fourth star back in that picture. It's right across from the El Capitan theater. Quote
