Oke so yesterday I went to Alanis!! It was great to finally see her live!! oke and honestly the first thought: oi she's a big girl now' hahaha It's funny to see that every singer has there own little qurks on stage... and she had the habbit of holding her hands together and then fondle with her fingers while singing. Her stage perfomance wasn't as big as I imagined it to be... I didn't really think WOW that's Alanis Morissette performing! Someone like Céline or Sarah Mclachlan or Melanie C have a much stronger stage persona.

 

As far as I can remember she sang the songs (19 songs), quoted underneath. It doesn't matter who you are, or how many albums you've made, there seems to be a certain number of songs you have to sing in a concert I was kinda disappointed with the set list. I expected more songs from Flavours of Entanglement... and I was bummed that she didn't sing Straitjacket Also she only sang one song from SFIJ! While she did 2 from URS... I can't remember the chronologic order, but she ended with Ironic and Thank U as the encore. She didn't spoke a lot either... what's that nowadays?? Céline hardly spoke too! lol oke even though my complaints it was still a great night!! and I was not far from the stage

She is a great performer from what I saw on youtube, pretty raw, not always perfect but maybe exactly Alanis-perfect.

this album is flopping big time around the world. i guess the world still want the angry alanis, since after JLP, her songs are calmer and relaxed. being a fan, im sad to say that i am so not interested about FOE. still gonna stick to JLP & Unplugged.

The USA Tour dates was released yesterday. Anyone going? I wanna see her in Kansas City. I checked on Ticketmaster but it's an Amex Presale only right now. General tickets go on sale next Friday at 10am CDT.

LOL my statement was posted a month ago, and i had a change of heart, gonna buy her album this week. i want the deluxe version, but sadly we only have the standard version here. but whatever, i will surely buy her cd this week, together with Sheryl Crow's Detours.
