Céline's Blues Posted May 27, 2008 at 09:04 AM Posted May 27, 2008 at 09:04 AM At last she managed to escape from a rather generic approach to music presented on her two last albums (which were simply ok but nothing more). Now her new album came which will be released in two weeks in the States and this week in Europe. All I can say is just WOW. Just WOW, and I thought already the first single was pretty damn good. Go get it when it's out, lovelies. Vintage Alanis with a huge eclectic wall of sound on some songs and just piano on others. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0014XCMVM.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg http://youtube.com/watch?v=AIy5Cv0un9U&feature=user Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
amyja89 Posted May 27, 2008 at 09:51 AM Posted May 27, 2008 at 09:51 AM Sounds good! But in my mind nothing will ever compare to 'Jagged Little Pill' and 'Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie'! Quote
Céline's Blues Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:16 AM Author Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:16 AM You have to hear the whole CD and the bonus CD! It's a very much comparable record to "Supposed...". I think, really think Alanis delivered this time. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
Prince Whiskers Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:33 AM Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:33 AM (edited) I hope this album will give her the huge comeback that she deserves! She's a league or two above Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne, no doubt about it! Nikosn17 Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:36 AM Posted May 27, 2008 at 10:36 AM (edited) I heard it and I have to say that I had the hardest time listening to an album ever. This was awful. I never was a fan of her but I was curious to see how this album will sound. Edited May 27, 2008 at 10:36 AM by Nikosn17 Quote

She's a league or two above Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne, no doubt about it! She definitely deserves this, especially with this album. But you can't really expect good music to sell nowadays. I heard it and I have to say that I had the hardest time listening to an album ever. This was awful. I never was a fan of her but I was curious to see how this album will sound. Well then you haven't heard Sainkho then. http://youtube.com/watch?v=0y6PS9K_1CU Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

Black Kitten Posted May 27, 2008 at 11:36 AM Posted May 27, 2008 at 11:36 AM (edited) i am a fan. i own Jagged Little Pill, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, Unplugged, Under Rug Swept and Jagged Little Pill Acoustic. buying So-Called Chaos never crossed my mind after hearing the awful Everything and Eight Easy Steps. i don't know what to expect about this new album. after Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, everything went downhill for her. she should team up with the incredible Glenn Ballard again. they can do magic together. corr_azy Posted May 27, 2008 at 12:43 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 12:43 PM I thought her last two albums were pretty much underrated and didn't do well. I will definitely check this album out. Quote
Davey84 Posted May 27, 2008 at 12:50 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 12:50 PM I can't wait to get this album! I think her last 2 studio albums didn't get the attention they deserved, they had some great songs! I hope the limited edition is released here, cos it sounds cool! I will be seeing her in Amsterdam on June 13th! I'm really excited! amelie Posted May 27, 2008 at 02:17 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 02:17 PM (edited) what a coincidence, i listened to it this morning and i was quite impressed, i like some songs from her but her albums usually are quite boring as a whole, this one really caught my attention! though not very into her i'll go as far to say its her best album any good link to download the bonus tracks? Black Kitten Posted May 27, 2008 at 03:23 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 03:23 PM I'm gonna be an and wait till I get the real album and not download it... to me her best album is still Unplugged the songs sound perfect in Unplugged than in SFIJ. and what's wrong with "perfect" in JLP? she's out of tune the whole song. grobandion Posted May 27, 2008 at 05:15 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 05:15 PM has she ever recorded a duet?I'm not an Alanis fan, but some of her songs were quite popular here, like "Ironic" and "thank U" (love that video....kinda creepy though)I'm not quite convinced with her voice. Last time I heard something from her was when I went to see "Narnia" and she sang at the end (I think it was her) saludos Quote
PrincesseJen Posted May 27, 2008 at 07:57 PM Posted May 27, 2008 at 07:57 PM My favorite Alanis albums are "Jagged Little Pill" and "Under Rug Swept". I didn't care too much for the other ones. The acoustic of "Jagged Little Pill" was better then I thought it would be. Can't wait to hear this album. http://smileyset.com/temp/PRINCESS/smile.gif Quote http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z30/Sarahj21230/Celine%20and%20Josh/pinkroseCeline-1.jpg
