My Love would be an excellent single, except that no radio stations in england ever play Celine anymore and if they do they only play My heart Will Go On Or Because You Loved Me.

Hardly anybody knows about the new Celine songs and that is because nobody will play her.

I also love Shadow of Love or Fade Away, both are brilliant songs.

I've already said "Bye Bye" to Celine, I've told my mum back at home to burn those Celine CD's and throw the ashes into the Danube river.

I've just purchased a serious quantity of Mimi CD's at second hand cause I can't afford them in mint condition as my money has been invested in this reckless woman called Celine Dion.....But my Mimi CD's....can't wait to drool on them :wub: :wub:

The song, "My Love," is beautiful - yes. However, it should not be a radio single. Celine needs to promote something edgier than "Taking Chances" and uptempo. Perfect examples would be "Eyes On Me," "Shadow Of Love," or my personal favorite, "Fade Away." All three of these would help solidify that she has indeed been taking chances and that she isn't simply the ballad diva that so many people "know her" to be.

if promoted with a live performance on some chat shows or as a physical single with the live video on it .....what fan could really resist it????

There is no way "My Love" could become a commercial success as a single regardless of remixes, live performances, promotion, cd extras on the single etc, it just isn't a good enough song for a single. Absolutely fabulous album track, just like GTSW was, but should never ever be considered worthy for a single.

 

So far the choices for singles have been the expected ones, successful or not, but now Sony need to take one final chance on the album and push the gamble button and send either "Shadow Of Love" or "Fade Away" to radio.

"Eyes On Me" has been added to Holland's biggest radio station....so that means it's the radio single here!

I really like the song "my love" and it was one of the stronger tracks from her new album which she sung live at her recent tour. However, I really doubt any single off the current album will do well unless the record company promote it properly and try to release a physical single. They need to make the single worth getting such as including b sides and remixes - not just the usual crap of older hits.
