Info on Hot Sound Package

I was just wondering if anyone in the forum had bought a sound check package and what was really in it! and If it is really worth the price...

I would love to buy one for me and my partner for May 27 at Bercy...and was thinking about it, but we need a new vehicle and we'd like to enjoy our first trip to Europe without going hungry. Darn, I hate priorities!!! So...we got the fanclub rate for floor seats instead.

 

I don't really care about all the VIP, cocktail reception, and gift stuff, it's the extra time listening to, watching, and enjoying Celine be her fun self that I would die for. And not just that, as another forum member explained recently, she went over to talk to the group a few times. Even if it was to the group of us, it would mean a whole lot to have Celine talking at me.

Hot Sound package doesn't include meeting with Céline anywhere. There is no opportunity for personal meet&greet, autograph taking, not talking about taking any pics together with Céline.

 

The good thing about it is that you are just in a small group of people (maybe 40-50, maybe even less), you stay/sit close to the stage and you can listen to her soundcheck for some minutes (not sure how long though).

 

Yeah, someone said she talked to this group who attended the soundcheck but I guess it was more like general talk to the group, no personal talks with each person and not really an oportunity that you being there can tell/ask her something.

 

I don't care at all for all the VIP dinners and other shnick-sknack. The soundcheck itself sounds great but it's still not woth the money for me... If it would cost maybe 50% more than standard ticket price, I'd consider buying it but by now it's simply overpriced for me.

 

If it would enclose a meet and greeat with possibility to do a short chat with Céline and taking a pic with her (something like the meet&greet during the AND DVD taping) than I would even consider paying this big amount for it.

 

But it doesn't contain such opportunity so the dilemma is over for me.

As soon as I receive the itinerary in the post I shall scan some pics on here for you all!

 

Obviously they're gonna be v hot on camera's etc at the sound check but we'll see!

I went to the soundcheck in Sydney...

 

My review of what happened is as follows...

 

On the Saturday night which started at 4.30 p.m. when they opened the doors to ACER and let the group of people…all 45 of us that were attending Celine’s soundcheck. We were taken upstairs to our function room where we got lanyards with our VIP code on…with champagne, red/white wine, coke, water, orange juice on arrival. I sat with two friends for about 40 minutes drinking and talking while they had numerous televisions in the room playing A New Day…the DVD.

 

The soundcheck was suppose to commence at 4.50 however they said Celine was running a little late…but at 5.05 they took us down to the stage, we sat on the side of the arena and waited. Within a couple of minutes Celine appeared and came straight over to us. ’Hey guys, thanks for coming…ready to have some fun and be silly….’, she began but warming up…been silly with her band and backup singers. She performed ‘Taking Chances’ almost in full. Testing out the sound then entire time…also sang ‘Shadow of Love’, ‘My Love’ and ‘The Show Must Go On’’ almost in full.

 

She would lay on the stage….kicking and warming up her voice but making silly sounds….she also did Elton John’s ‘My Song’ as a warm up and one other that I knew but have no idea what it is called, not a Celine song though. Mego was so funny and really got into it. She was so so good and the feeling being only eight metres from her was an AMAZING feeling. She knew we were there and would wave and smile and come and sing to us but she ended by coming over and talking to us….and saying ‘I hope you enjoy the show, thankyou for coming….it was lovely meeting you, well actually I haven’t actually met you this time but enjoy it, love you all’. We stayed while she practiced spinning the microphone stand around for ‘River Deep Mountain High’…and then she waved back at us….and we were taken back to our room.

 

We were then given a special ‘Taking Chances’ carry on luggage bag….we had the choice of black or brown. They served more beverages and brought out the canapés. We had many.

 

It was worth every cent....even just to see Celine in a different light so close with only a small group of people...celine81...enjoy and I can't wait to here what she does in Manchester...

Thank you so much for this post!! I am so excited for my sound check show even though it is not until January. Reading what your experience was like lets me know it will be worth every penny.

 

Did anyone take pictures? Just wondering if they will allow photos during her warm up. Thanks again for sharing

We weren't allowed to take cameras or bags inside the arena...everyone just was so excited to see the soundcheck no one cared and they had two security guards in the room we were in...so everyones posessions were very safe. I did have my phone in my pocket...and looking back I could have tried to record some audio...but didn't think about it...I was just in awe of Celine...how beautiful she was...without any make up...how funny and how real she was on stage...it truly was a fantastic experience.

 

I assume cameras and audio will be banned everywhere...just try and get cameras into the show...and take as many pics and videos as possible from where you are...so we can all see the photos from inside. I am so happy in Sydney they were not strict on cameras at all...unlike the other Australian cities she went to....

Yeah... And as it doesn't contain meet&greet kind of stuff in it, I'm not really interested.

 

I mean, if it would cost only a bit more than regular ticket, let's say 30% or even 50% more than ok, it might be something to think of as attending a soundcheck is deffinitely a great thing!

But the money they expect for it is just much too much.

Ok, someone probably has already somewhat wrote about this, but I can't find what I want to know so sorry if I'm repeating a thread. Has anyone actually gone to a concert with the hot sound package? What does it include, is it worth it? I already have hot sound tickets for next January in Nashville, but I'm antsy on what it'll be like. Thanks to anyone who can fill me in!

Hello to you all in Celine Land.

 

I have a few questions and pardon me if this thread has been started already. I have been a huge fan of hers since the early 80s and never had the opportunity to see her live in concert. I tried last October to see her in Vegas but the weekend of the 5th of October she got sick. Celine is making a stop here in Cleveland Ohio and I could not pass up this up after missing her so many times. Here are my questions, I have a Gold Hot Seat package and have great seats Section 7 Row E seats 1&2. When she announced that she was doing a US Tour I tried to get the Hot Sound Package the first day listed thru Ticketmaster web site. 1. I was wondering dose anyone out there have this package? 2. If so how did you get to be the luckily one to do so? 3. As for those of us with the Gold and Silver package are there any more details other than what is posted thru the Tickemaster web site as to what we get. 5. How many of you will be at the Cleveland show?

Hello...I will be sitting in the front row for cleveland as part of the soundcheck package...they were only available like the first few minutes that the tix went on sale...once i got them and checked back no more were found...I was told very little...that is probably why nobody has any info...i would love to hang out before the show though or afterwords if you are going...I love meeting new Celine fans...PM me if you would like to meet up...
