buffster2002 Posted April 5, 2008 at 06:45 AM Posted April 5, 2008 at 06:45 AM After travelling to Vegas, staying in Caesars, and experiencing A New Day there, it makes me sad to think that it is no longer there. Celine isn't in the Collosseum every night belting out all those songs, with the fantastic cast of the show. And when I watch the DVD with the All Access it makes me sadder. I just can't imagine Las Vegas without this show! I really hope Celine returns one day for another show, and that some of the dancers and crew and musicians return for the show too. Coz I miss Vegas and A New Day! Quote "Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you. You're here...there's nothing I fear"
Jacqui Posted April 5, 2008 at 02:47 PM Posted April 5, 2008 at 02:47 PM Aww *hugs* I never got to go to vegas...I know what you mean about missing stuff though, I just saw Celine 3 hours ago, and I already miss her! It's crazy, but I just wish there was a way I could be at all her shows everywhere now. I'll shut up now. Quote
Elaine Posted April 6, 2008 at 02:42 AM Posted April 6, 2008 at 02:42 AM Yeah, it's really sad... I think the worst part is over for me. I used to cry a lot right after I got to this country I love but that sometimes makes me really mad, and I thought "Why couldn't those days remain forever?" But then I see that not moving on with our lives would just make it worse. We would never get over. I really wish those days could come back once more, but I know better things are coming for us and also for her! Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

ashleylovesceline Posted April 6, 2008 at 07:18 AM Posted April 6, 2008 at 07:18 AM Awww, I know how you feel. I think had she not gone on tour, I would be a wreck! I went to Las Vegas every summer for five years just to see her - I'm broke because of it, but nothing could replace those memories, those people, and of course, those performances! Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened! Quote
Jacqui Posted April 6, 2008 at 11:07 PM Posted April 6, 2008 at 11:07 PM I was thinking about it this morning...maybe it's a good thing I never went- I would never have wanted to leave! I would've had to move there or something. Quote
KimboCosmo Posted April 7, 2008 at 10:01 PM Posted April 7, 2008 at 10:01 PM It's so true...you didn't want to leave once you got there, and when you did finally HAVE to leave...it was like a great depression I'm very happy I have the memories and the pictures, but now I have the dept from Vegas too...lol Still paying off my credit card from it... buffster2002 Posted April 8, 2008 at 12:43 AM Author Posted April 8, 2008 at 12:43 AM yeah it was really sad leaving Caesars and Vegas. It sucked. To be honest if she had decided to stay in Vegas for another 5 years I would have be overjoyed. Not that i dont LOVE this tour (and was lucky enough to see her in my own city which is great), but there was just something....magical about Celine and the AND in Vegas. Shesings2me Posted April 8, 2008 at 08:00 AM Posted April 8, 2008 at 08:00 AM Yup...my first and only time to Vegas was to see Celine (saw her 2 nights in a row). I talk about going back to Vegas 'cause it was a pretty cool place, but with no Celine, no Celine store, no fan meetings, no AND to look forward to...it'll just be depressing I think! JCeline85 Posted April 9, 2008 at 07:52 PM Posted April 9, 2008 at 07:52 PM i was just in vegas a couple of weeks ago and it was my first time there since Celine left.. definitely a different atmosphere now.. at least for me.. her name isn't everywhere.. the colosseum is all about bette midler (which i dont think will last all that long..) sad times Celine definitely changed the face of Vegas forever, and it's sad that she is gone. Maybe after touring, having another child.. maybe she will retire there and become a regular. We can only hope so anyway Quote The Wait Is Over?
superstarleash Posted April 10, 2008 at 02:16 AM Posted April 10, 2008 at 02:16 AM I really feel for all of the fans who miss the show. I am from Australia and am in regret for not saving up my very hardest to go to the show! It's a horrible feeling. How stupid I was. I wish I lived in Vegas or even the US in general and had the OPTION of going to the show when I felt like/could afford it. For a lot of close residents it would provide a lot of comfort. I can't even begin to imagine what a sense of loss you must feel. Quote http://www.celinerific.com/Signatures/ThinkSig.jpg

At that, I still didn't think I would get to, even though I saved every day...so it isn't only the other countries...not everyone here got to go who love her either... I don't regret going into dept for it though...It was amazing, and the pics and memories will last a lifetime! stevethefan Posted April 11, 2008 at 12:51 AM Posted April 11, 2008 at 12:51 AM Yeah it is kinda sad. I went for two shows in 2005 and one in 2006 but I wish I had started going earlier, because then I would have been able to go and meet up with people here which I never got a chance to do. But that being said, I think it was Celine's time to move on. Five years is a long time to do shows like that and I think she's happy to be traveling the world in concert. Quote
A New Day Has Come Posted April 12, 2008 at 09:11 PM Posted April 12, 2008 at 09:11 PM Yeah I miss Vegas allot it was the first time I saw Celine live in my life and it change my life allot. I never relise how Celine could dance like that and sing, also al those dancers dancing and showing there talent. I was in complete awe the whole time and I can still remeber to this day it was complete amazing. Celine was amazing and I was crying when the last song was being sung and I was crying after the show as well. I didn't go to the washroom the whole night until the show was over. Quote

Bralo20 Posted April 17, 2008 at 07:23 PM Posted April 17, 2008 at 07:23 PM I'm also missing the show in Vegas...Actually I went to the show by accident... About 5 years ago I thought to visit Vegas and see the show of Céline. But due to curcumstances the trip never took place... I really forgot about Céline until I was in the States back in 2006. I was there with a group of Belgian fire fighters for 2 weeks. First we stayed for a week with the FD of Oakland, CA to see how they work and go with them to incidents. After this week we've planned a week for some regular tourist stuff. From Oakland we drove via Yosemite National Park and Death Valley National Park to Las Vegas were we were scheduled to stay 3 days. When I drove on the strip I saw at Caesers the big board with the commercial for Céline and thought by myself "Oh no, She still gives shows and I haven't got any tickets"... That night I went to Caesars to check if there were still tickets available. Like thought, the shows were completely sold out. They said to come back the next day about an hour in advance because every night some tickets came free (people who didn't show up or so). I went there 2 hours in advance and some a line with more then 100 people waiting for some tickets... I knew I wouldn't be able to get a ticket for the show, there were just to many people waiting... But then again, as a good Belgian citizen I found a solution very fast. I spook with somebody of the hotel and explained that I was a fire fighter from Belgium and came all the way to Vegas to see the show but that I wasn't able to get any tickets... I showed him my badge and asked if he could arrange something for a Belgian fire fighter. He asked me to wait a bit and after a while he came back with the message that there was a ticket waiting at the desk. I paid the regular fee but got one of the best seats in house... Thanks to the guy who arranged it for me I never regret it that I went to the show, it was very, very good... As a Belgian the show was maybe more special to me then for others. The whole show was made by a Belgian, Franco Dragone, which made me proud to be Belgian after I saw which amazing show he had created for Céline Dion... I thought to go back after this but due work I wasn't able to get some vacation in the low season (Vegas is way to hot during summer when are company is closed). I hope that she will go back someday... The combination Vegas / Céline Dion is one to remember! Quote ...
buffster2002 Posted April 19, 2008 at 12:13 PM Author Posted April 19, 2008 at 12:13 PM yep. Celine and Vegas just go perfectly together and its something that isnt the same when you see her on tour. That "magic" that happens when shes doing the show in Vegas was not there (dont get me wrong though, the tour rocks too). Quote "Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you. This is why I've refrained from watching the dvd all together...it's still in the same sealed plastic wrap that it arrived in from Amazon in December. I don't want to erase the view that I witnessed when I saw the show through my own eyes. Plus it's sometimes just too devastating to think about. It's like she was so close yet so far out of reach. minniemare5 Posted May 22, 2008 at 03:44 AM Posted May 22, 2008 at 03:44 AM I agree with everyone. Chances will be great, but nothing like AND. I was fortunate enough to go to Vegas two times in 04 and 05 and see the show a total of four times. One time I was in the third row on the end and during "If I Could" I was s close to her I could see the hair on her arms....it was such an amazing feeling. It was like Vegas was Celine's home, and the coleseum was amazing because it was built just for her. I regret not saving money to go to final show. I had just boughten a horse when the show was wrapping up and at the time my horse was my priority (and she always will be), but AND was so incredible, I really wish I took a loan out or something and went to the last show. I also miss the boutique, but I'm sure my credit card does not. A whole store dedicated to Celine....it was a fan's heaven! I wish celinedion.com would sell merchandise from the vegas boutique. I also regret not getting a program, and I know they are for sale on ebay, but way too much. Quote
kissybissy Posted June 21, 2008 at 04:09 PM Posted June 21, 2008 at 04:09 PM Soon Elton John is also leaving Vegas. For those who didn't attend the Red Piano, it's a good opportunity to go, the last run of the concerts is in April 2009. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity of seeing Celine in Vegas. I went last March when she had already gone. Quote
zoea2812 Posted June 21, 2008 at 04:21 PM Posted June 21, 2008 at 04:21 PM I also wish that I had seen Celine in vegas. Hopefully if she does go back I am going to get a loan and go and see her as I cannot miss an opportunity like that. Quote http://www.celinerific.com/Signatures/NHASig1.jpg
