well it has FINALLY arrived, today (which will commence in about 15 mins) celine will perform in Melbourne!

 

now, i still dont know whether she's arrived here yet. in the morning i called The Herald Sun and Ticketek but neither of them were useful damn it...anyway

 

i will take my camera, yes i will break the rules for celine and im sure others attending the show will do too lol, so look out for the pix and gossip

 

on a more deeper level, im going frkn crazy, i dont know precisely how to feel

 

all i know is that its going to be a night that i will never forget...

On the Today show Richard Wilken said at the end that after the Brisbane show she flew back to Sydney that night getting in just before 2am on a private plane....I have a feeling she is basing herself here in Sydney until the weekend and flying to Melbourne today...and back tonight....or tomorrow...

 

She wants to go sightseeing etc...I don't know how this is possible since no one has a phot oof her except for leaving the hospital!

 

Everyone keep a lookout!!!

Be really careful with cameras guys!!! They said in the email that they have the right to confiscate any cameras, recording equipment and memory sticks on your person. We had our bags searched on the way in and anything bigger than a handbag had to be cloaked! I really think that you will get kicked out if your caught taking photos so decide if its worth it or if you'd be better off to wait for the official media photos to come out which will probably be better quality and available on the net. That way you can just enjoy the show without worrying about getting a good picture! Whatever you decide to do, have an AWESOME night! John.

hey guys jus came bak from da melbourne show n i mus say it was amazing! i cant remember a lot lol but dese r da things that stood out

 

- the crowd was awesome esp wen she first came out n den closed da show... they rilly seemed to appeciate her

- she spoke a fair bit... bout her being sik... she sed it was hard coming to a country like aus n sitting in her hotel room every day not rilly able to go nywhere... and dat she was grateful we gave her a second chance lol

- she sounded awesome vocally... all the money notes were spot on

- security was extremely picky about cameras... so only took 2 pics whch ill upload tomz... da lady next to me took her cam out for 30 secs n security was onto her straight away n asked her to put it away

- she omitted think twice from the setlist... otherwise it was pretty much da same as da brisbane one...

- she took time to aknowledge anthony callea da opening act, saying he was extremely talented and wished him all da best

- she accepted a lot of flowers n toys hehe... someone even gave her a frog, her lucky charm

- she looked amazing... full of energy n was very vibrant

- i guess da highlights of the show for me were "its a mans world" and "my love"... some of the other songs from da taking chances album didnt rilly work for da crowd... like shadow of love n cant fight the feeling... i think she should bring bak fade away n sing this time to mix it up a little

 

was a nightmare getting to rod laver cos da weather was terrible all day and power failure round da city meant lots of trains and trams werent working so had to walk like half n hr to get to da venue... missed da start of anthonys performance... but ye was a drainer lol

 

oh and da merchandise... i bought a t-shirt... it rox... $50...most merchandise ranged from 50-100... ill take a pic of da tshirt tomz n da keyring... til then, enjoy

YES....How amazing was the concert!! I saw it in Brisbane and it was soooo good!!!!

I think it may even be better than vegas or maybe that was because I was 3 rows from the front instead of second last row LOL!! ..

no, even second last row at Vegas was unreal!!!

I keep wishing I could catch another concert somewhere else..maybe Sydney on the week-end..how good would that be!!!

CELINE Dion fans had waited 10 years for the superstar to return to Australian stages. So, an extra 24-hour wait after Dion postponed her Rod Laver Arena show with serious voice issues was a minor inconvenience.

 

Dion hit the stage last night minus the surgical mask that's been her constant companion in her quest to avoid germs while holed up in her Australian hotel rooms.

 

"If you have to get sick, let it be in Australia," Dion said.

 

That million-dollar voice (her true believers paid between $300 and $400 for the best seats last night) of hers appeared match fit as she hit her trademark glass-shattering high note in All By Myself.

 

Her fans had their patience rewarded with a long set that mixed her anthems (It's All Coming Back To Me Now, Because You Loved Me and, of course, the finale, My Heart Will Go On) with new songs, including Eyes on Me, penned by Delta Goodrem.

 

A rumoured powerhouse duet with support act Anthony Callea on The Prayer, a song they've both recorded, sadly didn't eventuate, though Dion hailed him a great talent.

 

Dion, who turned 40 at the weekend, has no pretensions about being cool, pulls daggy faces and busts out cheesy air guitar and fist pumps.

 

While the Melbourne show lacked the spectacle of her Vegas residency, she belted out everything from covers of Heart's Alone and Ike and Tina Turner's River Deep Mountain High to a Queen tribute in which Dion channelled her inner rock star.

these security ppl need to calm down on the "taking photos" issue. how is it that in some countries it's allowed and others not? same management isn't it? what these ppl need to realise is that the fans want the pics as keepsakes. this is not an every day occurance and security should realise that.

and in saying that i'm trying to get my pics from monte casino to thomas still. it's one hell of a thing trying to upload it to yousendit.
