And please don't have MHWGO as the encore is way obvious - encores are supposed to be spontanious, why does everything have to be "scripted"?!

yeah replace IYA and LCMM with other great songs... TTWII, Simply The Best, Skies Of La, WTWOLYR, TR,

and no MHWGO as encore... lol... after MHWGO she has to sing another songs with a bombastic ending, that would leave you like crazy!!

the last times in Vegas you get al hyped up from RDMH, and then she sings a ballad, and thats the end...

 

She has to leave the building divalicious... fireworks, dancing, dark...

I want an unpredtictable encore, a song which given the impression of being choosed that very night. Most prefferebly an acoustic calm song. I could even imagine My Love being the encore.

 

MHWGO being the encore, isn't a real encore... what are thy tryin to achieve? "Helloo hello, you thought we had forgot this song eh?"

 

Saving her greatest hit to the extra number takes away all defintion of a extra number...

 

Diana Krall had the best encore ever a couple of years ago at Hovet, Stockholm. She returned alone, without her band, to the stage and pulled off 4-5 emotional songs, very personal, very intimate, only her and hr piano.

Hehe, I know what you mean, Fred!

 

My fave German artist sings ALWAYS the same particular song at the end of his shows as it's about how he's coming home (i.e. to his hotel) after the concert and thinks of the people who were at the concert, of his fans etc.

Although, he's singing this song as a very last encore and before this one, he usually sings a few more unexpected encores. They vary from concert to concert, as well as their amount.

 

I would also like to have an another, more unexpected encore at CélineŰs shows and also maybe not only one but a few?

 

But I guess we can't expect this. What I've heard, the time a singer/band is spending in a venue is very well counted. They have to agree about the time before the show starts and if they overdue this time, they have to pay quite a lot extra money.

 

So it's the same thing all over again: if we don't know exactely what's the reason for a problem is - it's the money.

1. All By Myself. Wow! She hasn't sounded like this since the 90's. I guess touring really makes all the difference. I hope that she's not burned out by the time she gets back to North America.

 

2. My Love. This was never a song that grabbed me on the CD. But that performance was incredible. Seriously, MHWGO is *so* been-there-done-that. This should be the final encore!

 

3. A New Day Has Come. I loved it. Yes, Celine is human, with an imperfect memory. And she wasn't singing the second verse in Vegas. So, no biggie that she flubbed a few lyrics. Okay, she missed out on pretty much all of that verse, but so what? Vocally, it was amazing, no doubt the best performance I've seen of it! It's a really hard song to sing, with tough intervals all over the place, and she nailed them all. And that feathery quality was back in her voice, which was great to hear. And the ending...so perfect. Hallelujah, she didn't modulate the last "come"!

 

Oh, finally, let me add my sincere thanks to everyone who posted reviews, pictures, audio and video!

 

I am so excited about seeing her in Toronto. It's such a long wait until August!

Hopefully Celine won't be burnt out by the time she arrives in North America. Though the European leg of the tour will last 2 months, she will have a break of one month before she arrives in Boston, Montreal, and Toronto, so she should be rested.

Wow. I just realized that Love Can Move Mountains has been a staple of Celine's live show for almost sixteen years. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people here who haven't been alive that long.

 

I really like the guitar stuff that they've added for this tour, especially at the beginnings of the verses and in the bridge. In the bridge, it's reminiscent of Life is a Highway to me.

 

But how did "then we'll find a way-ee-yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah-ah-ah-ah" become "You gotta feel it deep, right here, right there, you gotta feel it everywhere!"?
