The album debuted at number 3 on the Oricon Albums Chart with 34,223 copies sold. It's Dion's second best position on this chart, after All the Way… A Decade of Song. On March 10, 2008, Complete Best reached number 1 of the Oricon Daily Chart, more than eight years after All the Way… A Decade of Song. However, the album went down to number 6 on March 12, 2008 on the weekly chart in its second week, selling 27,281 copies. The following week, right after the Japanese leg of the Taking Chances Tour, Complete Best jumped from number 6 to number 4 with 34,724 sold (increase of 27%). Because of third week sales in Japan, the album entered the United World Chart at number 32. In the fourth week Complete Best dropped to number 6 on the Oricon Albums Chart with sales of 16,304. Complete Best topped also for four (so far) consecutive weeks the Oricon International Chart. WHAT MAKES ME ANGRY is that the japanese booklets are so thick that it crinkles the paper near the staples---in this case Celine's face.
