What's Celine's favorite?

I am a aviation enthuisast who likes to travel a fair bit if i can and when i can {but missing out on several attemps to see celine at las vegas }still kicking myself.

I see watching the dvd celine likes frogs if you dont mind me asking why? is it her favorite toy,I bet she has a massive collection over the years.

what i would like to ask everyone or anyone just a matter of interest does anyone know what celines favorite aircraft is?

Also is she flying around on an executive jet on her tour the reason the is I work on the ramp at an international airport in the uk for over 20 years.

what are the likely chances of meeting her and her aircraft on arrival which would be excellant and a possible autograph has anyone tryed this yet.

the frog was because a fan gave her a toy frog loooooooooooooooooooooooooong ago and she being superstitious made frogs her good luck charm

no idea about what's her fav aircraft though

Celine owns a Gulfstream, I think she owns a Gulfstream IV, but it might be a Gulfstream V.

Im not sure if any gulfstream could fly half way across the world (like Celine is doing for the first part of her tour) France-South Africa-Dubai-Japan-Australia. But I think she does fly on it inside north america, transatlantic, and inside europe.

According to the Forbes report a year or so back Celine flew a Gulfstream, I searched for it, and on several websites it says that Celine flies a Bombardier Global Express XRS, it can fly New York-Tokyo, so this is probably what she flies on her tour.

Hi i am reading that the frog collection is her good luck charm she must have millions of them but there must be a very special one she must most likely name...... Does she collect anything else?

There must be alot of us round the world who collect cuddly toys that keep us company and name them? ARRRRRRRRR......... We all must be getting soft. I have a small cat collection garfield, lion king and a pet cat not stuffed but live and purring meowwwww.

God i think might be getting to old for this............naaaaaa off to disney florida again for the umpteenith time big kid at hart.Never forget the Beauty and the Beast by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson I just dont have no words for an amazing song.

I bet some of the other disneys films would have been brillant song by celine as well......

And yes i am writting this email as am watching celine in las vegas on dvd and yes i amstill kicking myself for not seeing her concert.

You're right. I guess Celine is taking this flight all over the world. It can climb as high as 15,545 m, max range 11,390 km, and refuel in 15 minutes. Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates and Cirque du Soleil owner, Guy Laliberté are clients of this model too.

Oprah Winfrey is about to receive a Global Express XRS jet which she ordered over a year ago from Bombardier Aerospace. Oprah's production company Harpo has purchased the jet for her. The $47 million jet will seat about 10, has leather interior and other designer fixtures. Oprah will join Steven Spielberg, Celine Dion and Bill Gates as Global Express owners.

According to the specifications of the Bombardier Global Express XRS, the plane has a wide flying range... This plane can fly nonstop from Tokyo to Europe and the US, nonstop from Los Angeles to Moscow, Rome, and Beijing, and nonstop from Johannesburg to Australia, South America, and Europe.

 

So Celine is able to fly nonstop or with a technical stop anywhere that she wants in the world without having to travel on a commercial jet... Very nice!

Celine does in fact LEASE the plane with the tail number privacy, it is still registered to a leasing company (Vesey Air LLC), however she really is the user. There is a website you can go to and enter the tail number of the plane and see when it is in US Airspace. According to the site, the plane was last in the US on April 28, 2008. It left Palm Beach, FL and was headed to Manchester, UK. Interestingly, her plane used to be the plane of the Oakley Sunglasses CEO.

The Gulfstream is actually more of a medium range jet while the Bombardier is a long to ultra long range jet. Probably that's the reason why she has the Bombardier.

Official Céline Dion is leasing the plane from Vesey Air LLC but it is also possible that she actual "owns" the plane. Constructions like this are common for private corporate jets. But I also thinks that she is just leasing the jet instead of being the actual owner of the plane (although you can easily own a plane (or something else) without being the registered owner).

 

 

I think it's not that bad of a choice, the BD-700 is a rather good jet powered with BMW/Rolls-Royce engines, capable to hold 19 passengers (+ 4 crew members) and has a flying range of + 6.000nm (+/- 11.000km) and it is fairly "new" in terms of aviation (only 9yo).

Lots of people like Gulfstream, but really the Bombardier is a higher quality jet. That's why so many airlines have Bombardier aircraft (most of these aircraft are regional jets...nothing with the mileage ranger like hers has).
