Koolan Posted September 17, 2008 at 04:52 AM Author Posted September 17, 2008 at 04:52 AM Just got back from the show. The audience was much better tonight (as expected ). Celine seemed to be in a better mood as well. She was was on fire! She hit some incredible notes, it got everyone going crazy. I sat in section 224, it's not as far as I expected...had a great view of the entire stage and able to see the screen on top without breaking my neck lol. I'll leave the rest of it to clubmed. lyn Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:17 AM Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:17 AM (edited) I. had. the best night of my entire life. OMGOSH. So tired right now from standing/dancing/screaming all night.. but I'll just say that the very last moment of the concert made it for me. You guys know what I'm talking about, when at the final applause she just held her hands up to her face and looked like she was filled with the most childlike excitement and gratitude that she (and I!) could have burst. It was just amazing to see how the night had energized her and just in the one barely contained smile and laughter.. it was worth the world to see Celine that happy. AND, because by the greatest fortune, I was the only mad-crazy fan in my section (holler section 81!!) amongst a sea of old-timers, So I was smACK in Celine's view everytime she walked up the catwalk to see me. She pointed at me during BYLM, and stared RIGHT at me during the show must go on, for an extended period of time, to the point that I got a little afraid. Buying a seat there was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life, too. I can honestly say this concert was 100 times better than the one I watched from the floor, because you could just seE the stage.. and follow Celine everywhere she went. And when she comes up the catwalk she comes so close it's worth every penny. I watched her all night in rapt awe. The crowd was awesome (except for the people around me who sure wished I would've stopped screaming) and there were at least a few other Celine fans around my area to share in the crazy joy as well. I LOVED the crowd when we kept shouting out "MY LOVE!! MY LOVE!" And she kept going "the song,.. as some of you seem to already know very well.." Lol And whoever shouted "you're the greatest singer in the world.." kudos to you fella I could see other forum members too.. someBOdy had a Je t'aime shirt on so I'm sure she was a forum member.. and I could see Fabio. Lol. And of course. The singing. Awesome. But where was Charice? Oh well. BUt yes. AWESome. :)awesome awesome awesome. This night will last forever. JP Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:22 AM Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:22 AM (edited) Great Vic you were able to see the show again!! I just came back in Montreal 5 min ago! Is Charice was there tonight also? I met Celine at her hotel this afternoon, she sign a lot of autograph again! She was resting her voice and didn't talk a lot, almost whispering, was cute lol. clbmed02 Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:31 AM Posted September 17, 2008 at 05:31 AM Okay Vic, you twisted my arm. The crowd was better tonight, but still did not get up at least on our side of the stage. Ramona and I were approached by security during IDAN that we were the only ones up dancing and that we may want to sit down. Whereas on the opposite side, Kathy and Salla were up standing and dancing the entire time. It was so neat to see them on the big screen most of the time. Like Vic said, Celine was on fire and was very animated. Must be our Je t'aime shirts!!!!!!!!! The highlight of the evening was when we met with the Holland fans. So good to see them in NY. Earlier we saw them being interviewed in the lobby. Rosie O'Donnell's parnter and friend were sitting neat Salla and Kathy. Rene was in the crowd, too. Oh and Chuck Taylor (nystrele) and his partner were also there. Chuck introduced the "forum crowd" to his partner Quote "That which you manifest is before you"

autumnskies00 Posted September 17, 2008 at 06:04 AM Posted September 17, 2008 at 06:04 AM I'm sorry I posted on the wrong board. Here's my review: I don't have much of a review for you tonight. I was crying the whole time, no joke the whole time. I've just been going through a rough time in my life, and being there alone, and hearing Celine live, I just let it out. So I can't really tell you much about the audience, but I could see Celine was having a good time. I was up in the 400's and when she was descending down under the stage, everytime, she would still be dancing even when other people couldn't see her. It was cute. She seemed really emotional during the slower songs. Moreso than usual. Or that could have just been me imagining it bcause I was crying lol. She didn't leave or come in through the audience, but I can't blame her at MSG. The crowd would have been too insane. Exiting MSG was a nightmare, the elevators were stuck, the stairways were jammed, so since I've been to a billion and one shows, I took the smart route. I walked down through the venue to where the floor seats were. I saw Michael, but didn't say anything, because I looked like a hot mess afer all of those tears lol. Oh, also a little tidbit. I ran into my hairdresser after the show, who was also at the show. She had binoculars and was telling me how it was so crazy that her hair was able to stay so curled through the whole show. I've always wondered if she had extensions so I asked, and she said no, she just has really thick, long hair. Hahah so theres that. Of course celine was flawless tonight...I just can't believe I only have one show left. Setlist was the same Quote http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b213/autumnskies00/siggy1-2.jpg
autumnskies00 Posted September 17, 2008 at 06:48 AM Posted September 17, 2008 at 06:48 AM Uggghhh, I cracked! I just had to do it. I got a seat for this show too Im in Section 311 Row A Seat 9. I think this will be the last show for me, unless......... Hahah I know this post is from earlier on...but that sounds exactly like me. As of Sunday, I wasn't going to tonight's show...but I cracked and literally used my last cent to go. Now I'm seeing that there's shows in Canada that I can save money for and I'm thinking about that too. It started off with just two shows and went to 6. Its an addiction. Like crack. Haha. I've even started lying to my family about wher I'm going hahaha. Quote http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b213/autumnskies00/siggy1-2.jpg

Of course celine was flawless tonight...I just can't believe I only have one show left. Setlist was the same It's got nothing to do with the audience, she walked through in Montreal and it's crazier for her over there. The reason she didn't walk through is that the way the Garden is set up the stage entrance just happens to be right next to the backstage area so she can walk right under the stage and not go through the crowd. Most venues have it at the back, not at the sides. I think that since MSG has always hosted boxing it was built like that so the boxers wouldn't have to go through the audience. Quote
Dionesque Posted September 17, 2008 at 12:17 PM Posted September 17, 2008 at 12:17 PM Thank you for all your reviews and pics! Vic, as for the sound, I noticed that too! I haven't been to MSG but in all the other venues with stage in the middle, I always expected worser, more bassy sound while sitting on the floor and better, clearer sound when sitting on the side where the catwalks are! That's really interesting! So that's why I probably have the best audio recording from August 19th in Montréal as I've been sitting in the second row of section 112 and the sound there was just amazing! Like Christine said Salla and I were up and dancing pretty much the whole time it was awesome . The crowd was pumped and she sounded incredible. Got a couple pictures, and will post both Mondays and last nights when I get home today (feels like forever since I just went home after work ) I was able to get my ipod and Taking Chances CD signed at her hotel before the show, I still can`t believe it! Like JP said she was very quiet and reserved, but sweet. Well that was my last show and it ended with a bang! I will never forget those shows...but who knows I may end up going to Montreal in February Edited September 17, 2008 at 01:42 PM by kathyc25 Quote Music Is Life...Live ItYou are the music while the music lasts. ~T.S. I definitely got the idea to shout MY LOVE!! from knowing that people have had results from yelling it before, and from reading your entry. Heh I was actually thinking of that last night during the show, and telling my friend about it, about how great it is to have this community of fans that constantly update the show for both us and Celine. I can only imagine her telling Rene after her concerts, "Everyone seems to know 'My love' now!" And I love how it just starts with someone like you and keeps changing. Like someone last night also shouted "under the stage!" and everyone was finishing sentences for her. it was wonderful. And obviously she really responds to it, because she was really amused not once but twice about how much we knew about 'My Love'. concludingly.. it's nice to see the show transform via fans talking to one another about it.
