I will be there and I know of one other person from this forum who will be there. I will post anything about the concert here! Since the show is happening at a brand new venue AND Celine's concert is the biggest pop concert in Tulsa in over 15 years, there are ALOT fo newspaper reports, interviews, etc...

Did You Know: Celine's Tree!

August 5 , 2008

 

Celine's upcoming performance at the new concert venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma will be commemorated with a tree that will stand for years to come! The brand new arena, the BOK Center, is lined with trees to honour both the environment and the artists performing during its inaugural year. Each tree will be identified with a stainless steel plaque, added as each performer arrives. Celine's Taking Chances World Tour heads to Tulsa on November 13, and on that night she will also receive a photo of her tree!

According to an article in today's Tulsa World, this show is SOLD OUT! Thats a big deal considering this town is mainly 'country' and the ticket prices were so high! I'm SOOOO excited!!

I am going to this concert!!!! It's a friend of mine's birthday! I cannot wait! Can't believe it's a week away!!! WOOHOO!!! We went to Las Vegas to see her in 2005 on my birthday. WOW...what a show! Are you going with anyone? What kind of seats do you have? We are pretty close. Not as close as Las Vegas though. We were 5th row center. Considering how this show is set up though...any seat will be a good one!!! Have fun!!! Maybe we'll bump into each other!!!

TULSA CONCERT ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13 RESCHEDULED

November 11 , 2008

 

AEG Live, the promoter of Celine Dion's Taking Chances World Tour, has rescheduled the artist's Tulsa concert at BOK Center, originally scheduled for this Thursday, November 13, 2008, while Celine recuperates from a recurrent naso-pharyngeal infection which was further complicated by inflamed vocal chords. Her physician has instructed her to refrain from singing in order to completely recover.

 

Celine's concert has been rescheduled for Monday, February 2, 2009

 

Fans should hold on to their original tickets as they will be honored for the new concert date. Fans unable to attend the rescheduled concert can obtain a refund at their original point of purchase.

Bryan, I'm thinking of either going to this or the St. Louis show. These are the highest ticket prices I've seen for the midwest tho, good grief! So far, Omaha at $135 have been a 'steal'
