Black Kitten Posted February 17, 2008 at 01:16 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 01:16 AM the best effort of diane warren is NEXT PLANE OUT. she's a brilliant songwriter, but yeah, we need a new stuffs from celine. for the next album, i would love to see EMINEM'S name printed on a celine album. LOL!!!! Quote
Josh89 Posted February 17, 2008 at 01:19 AM Author Posted February 17, 2008 at 01:19 AM lol ye I would love to see her work with Timbaland I mean look at the fantastic tracks/albums he has produced in the last two years , its incredible. He has produced Madonna's next album and look how he changed Nelly Furtado's sound for the better. MTJ Posted February 17, 2008 at 02:02 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 02:02 AM its the same with David Foster , I wonder if she will work with him again Foster's been through a lot of family and personal issues, I think he's lost some of his talent and energy in the process.... I think Celine's new colaborators can't be beat. Quote

Elaine Posted February 17, 2008 at 03:12 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 03:12 AM I also love Diane's material! She's a great song writer! I'm not sure if she'll ever work with Céline again, though. Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

RLAAMJR. Posted February 17, 2008 at 04:15 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 04:15 AM Diane Warren has written a lot of beautiful songs that really made it to the top of the charts. There are so many of them that I think she is the best composer in the world from past to present , and even in the future future compusers won't be able to outmatch her and I do believe she the most number of very successful songs in music history. But I'm not saying though that she has written the best or most beautiful or greatest song ever created. Jim Steinman is a nominee.msn-wink.gif Quote
mebe Posted February 17, 2008 at 07:24 AM Posted February 17, 2008 at 07:24 AM I love Celine's new sound. It was time to move to something else. I'm glad she did. Quote
bfhb Posted February 18, 2008 at 01:06 AM Posted February 18, 2008 at 01:06 AM diane warren is currently workin on stuff for whitney ..... she has written some amazing ballads in the past and if we want celine in the charts .....diane has mass appeal !!! Quote love doesn't ask whyspeaks from the heart and never explainsdont you know that love doesn't think twiceit can come all at once or whisper from a distance
betterone Posted February 18, 2008 at 02:17 AM Posted February 18, 2008 at 02:17 AM I love Diane's work. It is said that she is very concentrated on her works while working and someone never enjoys dating or love affairs, which are main materials of her work. She can be candidate for graet ballads, anyway. Quote
lesfrancaise Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:34 AM Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:34 AM She is talented but that was in the 90's... That style is now outdated. Time for new stuff!! hmmm... indeed she's talented... well i believe that diane writes songs but doesn't produce the music itself coz i think she can collaborate with david foster or maybe with other like K. Lundin to have the music to the lyrics she wrote... bottom line: she can still write songs for celine but let the other producers produce for the music rhythm beat etc... for sure it'll be a big hit again! just like the LOVE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS... weeeeeewwww...! anyways musicians can be flexible and D. Warren can.... if you've heard songs from Cher:Turn Back Time which happened to be an uptempo believe me, D. Warren wrote and produced that song! Why not try to Celine... Quote
lesfrancaise Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:38 AM Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:38 AM its the same with David Foster , I wonder if she will work with him again I hope she will work again with D. Foster knowing that D. Foster helped Celine to hit the top by aiding her to produce her album UNISON... and ofcourse she must look back over her past especially to those people who helped her during the years of hardship in trying to reach for success... and there's nothing wrong to include some Ballads in her albums though most songs can be uptempo beats or like RnB... at leat there's something we can hear for relaxation and when we emote lolz... scielle Posted February 16, 2019 at 05:02 AM Posted February 16, 2019 at 05:02 AM A 1.5hr podcast interview with Diane Warren - https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/race/awards-chatter-podcast-diane-warren-rbg-1180503Lots of great stories behind the music. I mean, I knew she wrote a lot of iconic songs, but man, she really wrote a lot of iconic songs! She talks about BYLM at ~45min (apparently Tim Rice called her after the Oscars that year - after the Evita song won - telling her he thought BYLM should have won, so that's nice of him. That's Sir Tim Rice. You know, the one who, among other things, also gave us... the English version of Ziggy... ) The RBG song that she's up for this year is not her greatest IMHO... but she really is overdue for an Oscar. 2 Quote

But I’m just waiting for Celine to win ANY award that’s worthwhile again, a GRAMMY or OSCAR even a World Music Award, she hasn’t won anything unless it’s a special award like the Diamond Award or Legend Award. 1 Quote

noyau Posted February 10, 2020 at 08:34 AM Posted February 10, 2020 at 08:34 AM Diane Warren was nominated for the 11th time this year at the Oscars, with "I'm standing with you". Here (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/feb/04/eleven-nominations-and-no-oscar-can-diane-warren-finally-break-her-best-song-jinx) you can read: "Warren almost always has a speech prepared, just in case. “The speech that I end up putting in my pocket,” she laughs. “I do it every year except when I was up against , it was like: ‘OK, don’t bother.’" Ah ah she's cute . But unfortunately, she lost again this year... I hope she will write another theme song for Céline and that she will win thanks to her one day (remember that she lost with "Because you loved me", against "You must love me" from "Evita") 5 Quote ***I speak French, sorry for my mistakes in English. I would be very happy if you write me a private message to tell me when I make mistakes, as I want to improve my English***
marc-02 Posted February 10, 2020 at 02:23 PM Posted February 10, 2020 at 02:23 PM (edited) Speaking of the Oscars... Celine had a brief "appearance" at last night's Oscars... Well her voice at least. weasley123 Posted February 14, 2020 at 09:23 AM Posted February 14, 2020 at 09:23 AM Does anyone know how many Oscars Celine has won for her songs? Technically, Celine never win any Oscar because the Oscar for The Best Original Song goes to the composer of the song. But Celine sing two songs that won the Oscar. They are Beauty and the Beast and My Heart Will Go On. 1 Quote

ryba Posted February 14, 2020 at 12:35 PM Posted February 14, 2020 at 12:35 PM None. The award goes to the songwriters, not performers. That's not fair, is it? I mean, Celine sang the song. If it was a singer who couldn't bring any emotions to the song and make it come to life, then the written song alone couldn't be successfull. I think the singer should get some credit too. 2 Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted February 14, 2020 at 01:53 PM Posted February 14, 2020 at 01:53 PM (edited) The award goes to the songwriters but even though they don’t say it. The singers are included on that award since she’s part of it. No wonder it’s included in her website under AWARDS section Edited February 14, 2020 at 01:55 PM by jpatdeleon09 1 Quote
