I don't really like it... there's sooooooooooooo much autotune!! really horrible! And the song goes on and on, really without any climax. Those chachacha's aint really bringing something to the song either! LOL Makes me wonder if there is going to be a radio edit too?

 

I hope the rest of the album isn't going to be like this

The song is as silly as it can be, but once again, Madonna shows how clever she is: she has noticed the force of the Latin market today everywhere and she joined forces with Maluma, one of the hottest names in the Spanish speaking music these days. Maluma is not of my liking, but he dominates the market in Latin America, and that translates in every country and radio that plays trendy music in Spanish today.

 

The song is even slow for what is trendy and what Maluma does, but it's full of references to the Latin music: Colombia, cha cha cha, papi, and best is that she is actually singing in Spanish again after many years. The song doesn't even say Madonna "feat. Maluma", she gives the same position to both names in the title (Madonna, Maluma).

 

I bet the song will have some remixes or other versions with more "music" and arrangements behind to boost it a little bit.

 

She knows what she's doing...

the song is definitely growing on me, but it's not a favourite though, I liked Living For Love the instant I heard. Medellin is an interesting collaboration though and i like she is singing in Spanish. I noticed on the album tracklist there is a song with a Portuguese name, I'm really curios if she sings in Portuguese too. and I wonder how the second song with Maluma will sound like.

Not only the song sounds like Maluma feat. Madonna, it really shows how blind she can be just for the sake of chasing trends “we built a Cartel just for love” really?? It’s a highly insensitive thing to share with the fans who day by day try to change the image of of Medellín and Colombia in general, just to be reminded about the hurtful past once again. The Video for Medellín will have a global launch via Mtv “On April 24th, the network will broadcast ‘MTV Presents Madonna Live & Exclusive: ‘Medellin’ Video World Premiere.” Live from NYC, Milan, and São Paulo..... guess which city is not in the list.... Medellín LOL

I've listened to it a few times now, and it's just not catching my interest at all. The excessive use of autotune completely wrecks her voice, and Maluma, was he even necessary? The song is not very coherent, and just seems to dance all over the place. Maybe listening to it with the video may make it sound a little better, I don't know, but in these moments, I don't like it. :sick:

Madonna presenting a lead single singing Spanish, Con Calma now remixed and featuring Katy Perry, this just proves Spanish is again the international loved language in music. If Celine doesn't include another Spanish song or collaboration in Spanish for the new album, I just give up on her team!

Anyway the snippet of FOMO seems al lot more catchy and way more promising than Madonna's new song, but I'll wait for the entire song to make an accurate comparison.

Madonna é inteligente e sabe o que faz, mas eu vejo uma mulher desesperada por sucesso e querendo chegar ao topo das paradas, nada de ruim nisso, mais o jeito que ela quer fazer, eu vi a entrevista dela na televisão, eu Achei estranho, parece que ele perdeu sua personalidade e só faz coisas para chamar a atenção.
