still the album version. on her AND performance, she sounds so nasal and i hate it. the long notes at the end and the 'SHOUT' at the very end ruined the song.

I love the show version, it's my favourite performance from the whole show.

The dress looks stunning, the final part is absolutly super strong and the fire in the background fits the whole thing perfectly.

You'd better asked which version of "Seduces Me" is better :w00t: that's where I love the live version so much more (not just because of the naked dancers :shy: ) there she shows so much more feeling than on the record :in_love:

I prefer the album version even though I like the way she changed the song at the end with this long note. That's the only better thing from the AND version.

I love the LIVE version.

I felt the strongly passion of this song when I saw it at the Colosseum (the fire LED background is very amazing)

I had to vote with Other, because my favourite version is the one she did on December 14th, 2007, in Las Vegas. She held that last note for like 20 seconds, I couldn't believe my ears, my jaw dropped to the floor. And when you thought she was going to end it, she held it for a few more seconds... :w00t: She held it longer than she did the first three shows I saw in Vegas in November 2006, and longer than on the DVD. So that's my favourite version, too bad there's no recording of it available to us :( Edited by Teodora

I prefer the album version, because in the live one she did so many firules with the sound! And also because in that long note: I Surrender All, she splits the note into two parts..

 

Like this: I Surrender Aaaa - AAAAlll

And in the cd she uses just one breath

Love comes to those who believe it...

I fell in love with the album version when it first came out.

 

Then came Vegas. The first time I saw AND back in 2003, I was floored by the live version. The people who were there with me were not really Celine fans... that song woke them up and brought them to their feet.

i prefer the album version

 

it sounded to me like she had a bit of a cold in the live version. her voice seemed weaker and higher than in the album version.

however... the ending to the live version was superb with the long note and the dancers etc were a great touch

 

vocally though - the album version has it

I know what you mean. I didn't care much for this song when I heard it on the album and it didn't grow on me at all with time. But when I saw her doing it live in Vegas I just couldn't believe my ears. It was the song that stuck with the most from the first concert I saw in Vegas. I love this song ever since, I keep it on my mp3 player and I always remember my first time ever seeing Celine while I listen to it :)

I love both versions but the 'A New Day...' version is just so raw with emotion and the note she holds at the end of the song...... WOW :clap:

I agree... Even though I love the album version of Seduces Me, I really enjoyed the live version and the added vocals.

 

As far as I Surrender is concerned... I have always loved the album version. In fact, I was surprised it never was released as a single. I was so glad to hear it live! And the fact that it was performed in Vegas for the entire duration of A New Day... says something about the song, too. But I particularly enjoyed the live version. The emotion of the song is really brought to the surface when done live. And Celine's added vocals are even better!

"I Surrender" is such a deep song. Celine's vocals are so powerful and I

just love this song! After hearing it live at "A New Day"... I was in tears attempting to sing

along from the chorus lines on through the rest of the song. The fire comes on the screen

and I just get chills and I am in awe. I loved every second of it. The music is soothing, and

everything about it brings on some wonderful emotion. :wub: If I hear it again live my heart may melt. :in_love: :D

* December 18, 2008. 1st time ever in front row for a concert and it was with my idol Celine!

Dream #1 accomplished.

 

While singing a ballad the only time Celine looked at me was the time I had my sign up luckily!

She stretched out her arm palm faced up while singing with even more emotion in her eyes when she saw it, so it seemed like it was just for me at that moment.

Dream #2 accomplished with the extra bonus!

 

She came and left on my side. I went out 1 row, held up my sign and she stopped, held it herself,

and just looked at it with an awe expression on her face, stunned and amazed when she saw all the glitter!

She looked me in the eyes with those beautiful brown eyes of hers she was tuned into me at that moment and didn't look away, again her looking so emotional as I said with a sincere look on my face to her "It took me 5 hours to make this." (could have been more not sure)

She looked down and away very touched like maybe she wanted to cry then she HUGGED me!!!

She held me for more than just a moment She really took her time! I said to her while about to cry from the hug, "I love you so much!" Then that was it I don't think she said a word to me.

I was crying and saying omg all night with my heart racing and my mind in SHOCK from the unexpected hug and my eyes so sore from crying. I was ready to drop when I got home, but was so emotional I stayed up until 6:30 a.m.! Cried a little for a few days after. Sign and front row seat saved the day!

For me I've always loved the live version much better. When I heard the song for the first time on the A New Day Has Come album I forgot about it pretty quickly. It didn't speak to me. However, when I saw it performed live for the first and I heard Céline hold that insanely long note at the end I fell in love with it. So, my vote goes for the live version.
