I bought the album and realized The power of love was alson sung by Celine, so I was happy with my purchase. Then I bought FIY and the previous albums

I remember to be listening to Céline when I was six! It was in 1995 and here in Belgium songs from D'eux were played on radio every minute (like many other countries!) and especially Pour que tu m'aimes encore! My parents had bought D'eux on tape and the songs were played in the car everytime...and I fell in love with Céline's voice. All my neighbours were singing PQTMAE in their garden together. It was crazy. But when I saw Céline on TV for the first time, I didn't love her voice only anymore...I loved the entire Céline.

It's been 13 years I've been waiting for watching and hearing her in live, and my dream is gonna finally come true in Antwerp!

At the time I listened to it for the first time I was 12 years old and instantly I fell in love with it, the voice, the singer and the woman, God bless her!

I first saw/heard Céline Dion when she performed "Ne partez pas sans moi" at the Eurovision Songcontest in 1988. Of course I was hoping that the Netherlands would win (Gerard Joling), but when they were adding the scores it became clear that it was a race between Céline and Scott Fitzgerald. I was sooooo hoping that Celine would win, 'cause I loved her voice the minute I had heard it. And yes, she did win, with only one point!

 

Then it took almost three years for Celine to get another hit in the Netherlands: Where does my heart beat now. I was really focused on this song, as I loved her voice so much.

 

But the song that really got me into Céline was "Beauty and the Beast". It made me buy the album "Celine Dion". And then I was totally BLOWN AWAY by almost every song on the album!!! To me it's the ultimate LOVE album. It's about love in every possible way: Love can move moutains (the power love can give), If you ased me to (wanting your loved one back), If you could see me now (the pain), If I were you (cherish the love), Water from the moon (doing everything possible to win someone's heart), I love you goodbye (leaving and loving), With this tear (watching a loved one die)...

A combination of those songs made me fall for Celine for good! After this album I bought "Unison" and "Des mots qui sonnent". And from there on, I never missed another Celine album. But "Celine Dion" still remains special to me. To me, there is no other album with so much emotion.

 

One time, when Celine was still not so popular. Somewhere in 1993 probably, the "celine dion" album was for sale for only 5 euro. I bought al six (or so) copies. The man behind the counter was like: "Do you know it's all the same album?!" It was the perfect gift on birthdays!

there was "Think Twice" and "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" that made me like her and then there was "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" followed by "Because You Loved Me" that made me love her, before "Us" and LTAL came that made me love her so much, that I can't last a day without some music, some sound of her voice, some news... nope... NO DAY WITHOUT CELINE (would be like spring without flowers, Paris without Eiffel Tower, Cologne without the "Dom" or Sunshine without warmth)

It seems like many of you like "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" and "its all coming back to me" and i understand why they are great songs!

Tell him, and than of course My heart will go on, but than i had a little break from Celine from 2000 to 2002 even i didnt hear her albums and when i saw Im Alive on television every three hours i just turned it off (how great hit it was when i hate it because i hear it everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the last celine hit )

but then gooodbyes and i drove all night came and i tell myself, well celine i still love u , but it is enought , celine i couldnt live without u, u are my GOD not only a fav singer!!!!!

It all started when I bought Think Twice as a gift for my mother.

I listened to it more than she did and would play it repeatedly. Eventually my mum gave me a gift : The Colour Of My Love album.

The obsession had probably already started by then but when I heard Le blues du businessman at the Olympia I was blown away.

I loved French at the time and Celine's music made more determined than ever to learn the language. I was so excited to learn she was French Canadian!!

Of course by this point I was already a huge fan (at the age of 12!) but the one song that pulled me in from the very first chord was It's All Coming Back To Me Now! What a powerful song!!

The first Celine song I ever heard was 'Think Twice' but the one that really made me fall in love with her was 'Only one Road'.

Because you Loved Me!....The first song I ever heard of hers and that was it!...Instantly hooked. After that I got all her older albums and songs like Think Twice, TPOL, even songs like Only One Road, Just Walk Away & With This Tear made me fall in love with her - loved the emotion and feeling in her voice.

I remember listening to Natural Woman on the radio in about 1996 or so... All I remember is that I was completely mesmerized by the voice I heard through the radio and thought, "Wow, who is that woman?" It was almost as if I could not believe the vocals on the song! Though I knew it was a cover version, I never really bothered to find out who the singer was.

 

Then Titanic and My Heart Will Go On became smash hits and while I knew Celine was a great singer, the Titanic era never did phase me... It was the mid-late 1990s and I was too caught up in the teen pop frenzy! By this time Celine had released so many great songs, but I was still oblivious to who she was... At this point I still did not know she was the singer behind Natural Woman!

 

In 1999, That's the Way It Is was released! I became hooked to the song and I loved the video on VH1! Then I remember watching the All The Way CBS Special and I discovered To Love You More for the first time... I was amazed! I almost did not believe she could sing like that!

 

By this time I had become more knowledgeable about Celine, but there were some songs I had never come across... I remember listening to It's All Coming Back to Me Now and asking my brother, "That is a very good song... Who sings that?" He replied, "Celine Dion, I think." I could not believe it was Celine! At about the same time I also discovered that Celine was the "mystery singer" behind Natural Woman! I guess I had liked Celine even before I knew who she was!

 

Then I bought a bunch of her albums and discovering The Power of Love, All by Myself, and The Reason for the first time was like unlocking the door to something I had never experienced before!

 

I am so glad that YouTube has allowed me to really savor the Falling Into You and Let's Talk About Love eras!

 

So I really discovered Celine during 1999 and then she went on her break! But after 1999 and her return from her break in 2002 I have not missed a bit!

Because You Loved Me. In 1996, I was 12 years old and I was in the English class during the Elementary school period. To accomplish the activity that day, the teacher said we had to listen to the song he would play on the stereo and we students had to try to fill the blanks wih the words we thought to be the right ones.

 

From that day I became a Celine fan. And she's never disaponted me since then. What a true superstar.

MHWGO made me pay some attention to Céline. I got hooked to TTWII when it was relased (I still love the song!) but it was All The Way...A Decade Of Song that really got me into Céline and made me a huge fan.
