Which of Celine's songs first drew you to her?

I love all of Celines songs but the one that first made me pay attention to her was "To Love you More"

MHWGO. I was in second grade and someone sang it for the talent show; that was the first time I heard it.

It was definitely "Because You Loved Me." That was the first video in which I saw what Celine Dion looked like. "Falling into You" was also the first CD I ever bought.

My Heart Will Go On. My very first Anglophone song that I can sing. Even though at that time I'm not strong at English. So I and my cousin took the lyrics out phonetically, because we love the song so much!!!

 

And I remembered at that time I was 8. My father and I were watching her Music Video and I said to him; "Isn't she so beautiful, Dad?"

To me is destin. When I have 7 years I listened to FIY, but in that time I didin't really like. I can say, in that time, I hate her. Then, one day, at age of 8, I listen to Destin. And now... I love everything of her

hmm wow that's a hard one, so many for me. i think they were Water from the Moon and That's the way it is. water from the moon was the first song that i became obsessed with, lol i think teh first that i remembered all of the lyrics too. then, That's the way it is helped me through tough times, when i wanted somethign bad enough, i listened to it and it just motivated me.

Where Does My Heart Beat Now drew my attention to her and If You Asked Me Too was the beginning of Celine's music becoming the soundtrack of my life.

I remember when "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" debuted at number 40 on Shadoe Stevens' broadcast of the American Top 40 singles, and her voice captivated me so much! I still keep that tape and I play it often to remember.

For me it was "It's All Coming Back To Me Now". I had no idea who Celine was at that point, but I saw the video twice, then I heard the song on the radio, and then at a bar mitzvah, lol. I lurved the song so much that I just had to buy the album. Back then MP3s weren't around so...downloading wasn't an option thank God, or else I may not be the Celine fan I am today because I wouldn't have purchased FIY.

The first song that made me fall in love with Celine was Beauty and the beast, i had gotten to movie for one of my birthdays i was 7 or 8 years old and me being son young didn't watch the credits. But than my parents went on a business trip to Vegas and brought me back a children's book based on the movie and the soundtrack, and that's when i first heard Celine; and me being a moron at that age thought all singers were guys. So i say "Mom who is this guy singing and i didn't mean peabo." Now i laugh at myself . I guess Vegas is lucky that's where i fell in love with Celine and that's where i first saw her perform. hmmm... it's hard to pick just one... there are so many songs that she has sung that make up the soundtrack of my life... Where Does My Heart Beat now would have to be one of the first...then The Power of Love (my Prom song!!)

Beauty and the Beast. I had the soundtrack of the Disney movie on a tape and would listen to it on the school bus. All the other kids would make fun of me; they thought it was girly music. LOL I fell asleep listening to it, but was awakened by Celine's voice.

 

Then it was The Power of Love. )

 

She changed my life. I started buying all the albums I could, both English and French, and have continued to do so to this day.

I was madly in love with the videoclip of Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore.... couldn't understand a word, but that voice and emotion Later I listened to a tape with IACBTMN, BYLM and FIY on it.... and I fell in love.... and when I heard If that's what it takes on the album.... the cicle was complete!

Watching Céline perform A NEW DAY HAS COME on Oprah was the first time I was impressed by someone! Ever!!! Went and bought the CD and because who I am now - A crazy fan !!!

I remember reading her name for the first time back in the early nineties when I saw the "Beauty and the Beast" video. Since then I remember realising late that that same woman was the voice in "If you asked me to" and knowing that she made a cover of TPOL. But she really caught my eye (or ears) with BYLM, IACBTMN, and two performances: All By Myself in the Bilboards and The Power of the Dream in Atlanta. Then, still not trusting I would love all her material, I RENTED ( ) her four english albums and made a tape with my favorite ballads. I listened to it over and over for a whole year. It included songs like Water From The Moon, If I Were You, Love Doesn´t ask Why, Dreaming of You, and all her hits. But it wasn´t until LTAL that I decided to start my Celine collection.
