zamirdion Posted March 28, 2008 at 04:32 PM Posted March 28, 2008 at 04:32 PM I hope so too... I'll probably try to get more information when the info comes in. I am bummed about the date change in KL... Money down the drain for flights that I can't board due to the change and I might even be giving up my Shanghai trip which I won due to this change. Sigh.... Beijing is the city Celine wants to come the most after all. I doubt she would cancel it, but keep Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. Wo....u are on the way to beijing to see her there..hmmm....sorry to hear that...lets hope for the best ya
JessCC Posted March 28, 2008 at 04:34 PM Posted March 28, 2008 at 04:34 PM Shanghai... not Beijing. Wo....u are on the way to beijing to see her there..hmmm....sorry to hear that...lets hope for the best ya
JessCC Posted March 28, 2008 at 05:03 PM Posted March 28, 2008 at 05:03 PM Here's the News Update: Celine Dion NEWS ( Kuala Lumpur ) Celine Dion Malaysian Tour Rescheduled The Canadian diva was due to perform two concerts in Sydney tonight and tomorrow night at the Entertainment Centre, but announced at midday today she would not be well enough to go through with them. "Since arriving in Australia Celine has been suffering from a respiratory tract infection which has caused bronchial and laryngeal inflammation," Dion's Australian publicists said. Dion was examined today by a prominent Sydney specialist after she had failed to respond to appropriate treatment, the statement added. The specialist had advised "that with a further 48 hours of treatment and rest she will make a complete recovery and can resume performing at her best." As the performances in Sydney and Perth had been postponed to April 5 & 6, it is necessary to reschedule the concert in Malaysia as well. The Malaysia concert will now be performed on Sunday April 13, 8 pm at Stadium Merdeka. "I've been looking forward to doing these shows for so long... I'm really sorry to disappoint my fans this weekend... but I can't wait to see them on the new dates", Celine said earlier today. All tickets purchased for the original dates in all cities are valid for the same seats on the new performance date without any need for exchange. Tickets for Celine Dion < Taking Chances > World Tour 2008 – Live in Malaysia are still on sale now at all Ticket Axcess outlets and Galaxy Group. Call Galaxy hotline 03-22822020 or Ticket Axcess hotline: 03-77115000 for ticket booking. For more information on the postponement, kindly contact Galaxy Group at 03 2282 2020 or log on to www.galaxy.com.my.

off_mee Posted March 29, 2008 at 04:52 AM Posted March 29, 2008 at 04:52 AM May I ask you something ? I have at first heard that the last tour date in australia will fall on 8 April, so <alaysia date needs to be postponed. But just now I have heard and seen in some website that 6 April will be the last date, after rescheduling, at Acer Arena Sydney,Australia, making malaysia date still the same 8th April. I am not in a mess. Have to change everything, and pay a lot more. Really don't want to change and then change again..When will there be any official confirmation that i can rely on???? Anyone knows please update me thanks a lot
Krys Posted March 29, 2008 at 04:58 AM Posted March 29, 2008 at 04:58 AM (edited) it has already been reported in TheStar newspaper that the date has been changed. Galaxy.com also announced that the concert has been postponed. regarding the Sydney date, its not the Sydney one that clashes. the Perth date is the one moved to the 8th therefore KL moved to the 13th. i guess the only way that you know its 100% confirmed that it has moved is to wait for CelineDion.com to post the news Edited March 29, 2008 at 04:59 AM by lamourpourCeline

Vole Posted March 30, 2008 at 02:16 AM Posted March 30, 2008 at 02:16 AM I'm glad that KL's concert is not cancel, just postponed to 13/04 which I had called galaxy to confirm. Now my friends can join me and I think more ppl will able to attend the concert cause it's a Sunday. Hope it will be a sell out show! Sorry for Beijing fan, hope this is not true. If ever a boy stood on the moonAll the heavens would call their angels 'roundStop the tears from troubled skies from fallingIf ever the river could whisper your nameWould the choices you make still be the sameLike a flower that dies from angry rainWhy do we hurt ourselves?Where is the love.......
scorp82 Posted March 30, 2008 at 04:09 AM Posted March 30, 2008 at 04:09 AM I don't understand?!? why don't they reschedual the malysian show after china?!?! In my opinion it would be also the best solution... Well, maybe they don't think properly now in this stressful situation?... Well, ideally, that could have had happened... However, there may be several reasons for that. Given that the Perth and Kuala Lumpur concerts were postponed, Celine could have traveled to China and then to Malaysia. Nonetheless, flying from Australia to China, and then to Malaysia is not sensible logistically speaking, as opposed to traveling from Australia to Malaysia and then to China. Further, though not confirmed by celinedion.com yet, the Beijing concert has been cancelled while the Shanghai concert has been postponed. Even though she will be able to perform in Shanghai without a hitch, Celine's camp has just learned that sand storms apparently occur in the Beijing area during March and April. Given that Celine was allegedly scheduled to perform in an outdoor venue in Beijing, her doctors have advised her against it since she has been ill lately. So, logistically, there are many challenges right now.
