A Healthy Celine Fan?

My friends call me obssessed but I don't think its in an unhealthy way. I don't stalk her or anything haha. I do pay a lot to see her in shows and buy her albums but so does every other fan. I think I have reason to be such a big fan. She's been in my life since I was around 6 years old (Im 21 now), its kind of like shes a friend. She helped me through hard times in high school when people were bratty, through my mom's breast cancer-when Rene had cancer at that exact same time, and now through my parents divorce. Obviously she didn't help me personally, but I think her personality and the way she approaches life has inspired me to be the same way. I don't think I would be the same without her in my life. Is that sad to say? I don't think so. If it weren't for Celine I wouldn't have such a love for music and I wouldn't be persuing that as a career. Working in the music industry is the perfect job for me and I don't think I could be happier, and I think life would have been different if I weren't introduced to her music at such a young age. She has taught me through life to dream big and work hard and that way of living has paid off for me BIG TIME.

well im only 15 but i have been a fan ever since i have been old enough to really appreciate music. so i have been a fan for a few years but is been the last year that i have really become a fan and idolised her. i think she is an amazing person but like said before hand i dont try to recrute fans but i will try to deffend her if something bad is said . she is an important part in my life but it does in no way take over at all, i have friends and family and my main hobby which is my horses , as well as school and all other things a teenager does! i have spent quite alot of money on tickets for up and coming tour for someone my age and albums and dvd's i get for xmas or b-day alot of the time. however if i was an older person i would have spent more on the tour and mabye tried to go too two venues. so really im not unhealthlyobsessed shes just important to me and my life.

I think you're a healthy fan as long as your fandom doesn't interfere with your everyday life and you have other things in your life as well. I think fans who are like "Céline's my everything!" and "I love absolutely everything she does!" are unhealthy.

well, since 1997, celine caught my attention. what more can you ask for to this star? the voice that every pop singers look up to, the stage presence, the star appeal, the looks of a real diva, the humbleness, the sense of humor, the way she loves her fans, and the ability to sell more records than any other female singers in the world. i can say that, i'm a healthy fan. i look up to her and love her music so much. since 1997, i buy all her albums and videos that i see everytime im in a record bars. my parents and brother learned to love celine as well. so i can say now that my whole family loves celine dion. i have all celine's english albums from unison-taking chances and some french albums as well (a l'olympia cassette, d'eux cd, live a paris cd, for you cd, s'il suffisait d'aimer cd, on ne change pas cd and d'elles cd). i spent a lot of money buying her stuffs. the only thing that makes me an UNHEALTHY fan is that, i think, i need her. i wake up everyday for her music. i can listen to my other cds from different artists, but they can't make my day like celine does.

i have been hooked on celine's music since i was 5 years old when i first heard her voice on the album D'eux (Im 18 now!). I would say that i am a huge celine fan, maybe a bit obsessive but i think its a good thing to have someone who you really look up to and admire. without celine and her music, i would not have been able to get through some really tough times in my life over the last few years so i am very grateful for all that she has done for me in an indirect way!! i have never seen her live before but am going to see her in london in may this year so i am hugely excited about that and cant stop telling people - my friends and family are starting to be a little infuriated by my constant telling them but they know that i dont have an unhealthy obsession with her and they love that i am so passionate about something! i dont think there are any better role models around in the so-called "celebrity culture" at the moment! im proud to be a (slightly obsessive) celine fan and i wish she could know how she and her music have touched my life so deeply! my total dream would be to meet her but i dont know if that will ever happen - im praying for a miracle!!!
