Chantel Posted January 23, 2008 at 10:35 PM Posted January 23, 2008 at 10:35 PM My first Celine CD was "Celine Dion". I had won my choice of CD's from a radio station and picked hers. I had heard "If you ask me to" on the radio and wanted to hear more from her. Then as luck would have it, a few months later I was on vacation in Detroit and actually saw Celine and Rene walking around in a mall. She was on tour with Michael Bolton and was out shopping, just her and Rene, no bodygaurds. This was back in July of 1994. I went up to her after mustering up the courage and asked for her autograph (my camera was in the car so no picture opportunity ). From that moment on I have been hooked. I discovered her voice and then was able to meet her and see for myself how sweet, friendly, and beautiful she is. After that, when I got back home I bought every Celine CD she had put out and have done so ever since. Love that Celine! 1 Quote
celbabs Posted January 23, 2008 at 10:48 PM Posted January 23, 2008 at 10:48 PM The first CD I ever bought was Celine Dion because of Beauty and the Beast and If You Asked Me To - from that moment, a queen had found his Patron Saint of Divas!!!!!! Quote
minolli Posted January 23, 2008 at 11:34 PM Posted January 23, 2008 at 11:34 PM (edited) Just like a few others, I first started listening to Celine around age 12. I got "Falling Into You" when I was in 6th grade, after one of my friends played it for me. To this day "Falling Into You" remains my favorite English Celine album. Almost twelve years later, I still remember listening to it every day when I first got it, and how much I loved it. rhaps Posted January 23, 2008 at 11:57 PM Posted January 23, 2008 at 11:57 PM i still remember the time when i bought my unison cd. during that time, i was not really a celine fan, though i already have her FIY,LTAL & TCOML albums..then my cousin told me that there is one celine cd (unison) in a music store nearby...we went there and i saw it...i said it was really old, knowing that it was already year 1997 and i don't know the songs on that album. btw, celine first become popular here with FIY era eventhough her previous songs were heared on TV. so...i bought the album since my cousin was trying to convince me to have a collection of her album for i already got 3....and so i did..and you know what, my cousin became also a celine fan and right now, he's trying to ask me if i could sell the unison cd to him...hahaha. it was really great.... Ray Posted February 10, 2008 at 08:44 PM Posted February 10, 2008 at 08:44 PM I was so thrilled when Céline won Eurovision! I thought she deserved it. After that I loved the single "Where does my heart beat now". And then... there was "Beauty and the Beast". I LOVED it even more then the two songs I already knew. I was (and still am) a big fan of other vocal divas like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. When I read a review of Celine's album "celine dion" I knew I had to have it. In the review it was said that Celine's album was even better than the last albums of Mariah and Whitney. In another paper I saw a list of the Billboard charts with Celine high in the top 10 with "If you asked me to"... So, to make a long story a little shorter: I went to the record store. I asked if I could listen to the 'celine dion' cd and I was amazed. Not only did I love her voice, but EVERY song on the album had "hit" written all over it! So I bought the album and it has been one of my alltime favorite albums ever since. So my first Celine album was: "celine dion". shelly Posted February 11, 2008 at 04:05 AM Posted February 11, 2008 at 04:05 AM It all started with Titanic and MHWGO. I fell in love with that movie back then and I wanted that song so bad. Because of that, I had gotten Let's Talk About Love as a gift from my mom. After listen to the whole album I fell in love with Celine's voice and I became hook. Then I went and got the other english albums from her starting with Unison. When she came back from her break with ANDHC that when I became a huge fan of her. shady pines ma Posted February 11, 2008 at 05:14 AM Posted February 11, 2008 at 05:14 AM Well I knew who Celine was because of Beauty and the Beast, but until BYLM, she basically fell off the planet as far as I was concerned. And she fell off again until MHWGO, and after that, she never fell off the face of the planet for me again. LTAL was my first Celine CD. It was used and I paid $8 for it. It's so odd, but FOUR of my Celine CDs were actually previously owned before I got them - Unison ($2 just last week), Celine Dion ($1 just last week), FIY (borrowed from a friend who actually ended up not wanting it back), and LTAL. Actually, TAST ($8) was too, except it had never been opened. Quote http://imageshack.us/m/17/3216/sigqk.jpgchanteuse : the celine dion fanlisting | bella donna | livejournal | tumblr | twitter

And my first album to receving has been the compilation On ne change pas, included most of the successfuls French singles (including the French Signature Song Pour que tu m'aimes encore). Javito Posted February 25, 2018 at 10:14 PM Posted February 25, 2018 at 10:14 PM Ahhh, that changes things (little rascal...) I did the same with my cousin now that I remember, but she gave them to me in the end. She is the one to blame that I am a Celine Dion fan, she gave me the CDs for The Colour Of My Love, Falling Into You and TAST when I was 15... and the CDs never went back to her home 1 Quote "Hush, now... IL_DINO Posted February 26, 2018 at 07:09 PM Posted February 26, 2018 at 07:09 PM The first time I fell in love with her was on GRAND PRIX EUROVISION 1988. That voice .... Then I forgot her. For a few years. It must have been in 1993 when I had a one-night-stand - and on the radio was THE POWER OF LOVE. The music was the best part of this evening. No power. No love. A few months later, I got to know the love of my life. THE COLOR OF MY LOVE is still "our" song. No one-night-stands ANYMOOOOOOOOOORE. LG Stefan Quote

Dancing_Queen Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:00 PM Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:00 PM My first one was 'All the Way: A Decade of Song'. I played it so often and so loudly...My poor neighbours suffered in silence. My brothers on the other hand did not. Oh, the rows we've had 😂 And then sometimes at night, I'd play it again and again on my discman (after bedtime of course), dreaming that Céline would come to my school and I'd get to meet her 😊 Quote
