The concert in Arras was great! We joined the people in line at around 11 am, so we were there for quite some time. The soundcheck was amazing, we all sang along with the songs she was singing. She even tried to communicate a bit with us, although we couldn't see her. During the concert itself, Celine was obviously touched by the crowd and she interacted quite a bit. This was my first French concert, and I loved singing every single line of the French songs with the entire crowd. Je Sais Pas and S'il Suffisait D'aimer were incredible! She let us sing almost the entire ending of PQTME, which I just loved! And she was wearing the Versace dress in the end, which is just SO MUCH BETTER than the other one. God, I'm in love with that dress.

 

We didn't know where to go and where the lines were when we got to the Grand Place, which was quite annoying. I only found out about the other line when we entered the Place at 6:15, when we saw people streaming out from another corner. Not that it matters that much, we were able to get good spots. (to the person who posted the Youtube videos: I think we were either right in front of you or right behind you! a few of us were wearing orange!)

 

We actually were quite close to the stage before the show started, but because of a group of very annoying French people, we had to move a bit to the back. But it was a great show nonetheless!

That looks like the perfect place to have a concert. Would be cool if they used that for the French release DVD (why couldn't she do other French songs!)

This was indeed a very nice moment!

Does anyone have the video where she warms up the crowd when it started to rain? We had to repeat her and every time, she invented more difficult things to repeat, was very funny in the end!

oke where to begin??

 

I went with 3 other fans to Arras in the wee hours of the morning from the east side of the Netherlands... and we were playing Céline all day and had a blast! When we arrived in Arras we went to a café and met 4 other fans and left for the Grand Place at 11.30 am... We first went to an entrance on the side, but we decided to go to the main entrance, cos there was shops there. there were already a lot of people waiting in line. after a while 2 other dutch fans joined us.

 

We stood in the pouring rain, in the sun, in the wind for 6 hours! but it was all so worth it!!! Arround 4.30 pm the band started to to their soundcheck. the back ups did a few 'Don't saaaaaaaaaay' and the band played River Deep, Mountain High, Dans Un Autre Monde and Destin. We were singing our lungs out and had a little party! Not a lot of other fans were going crazy like us, but we didn't care. hahaha and finally céline came on and did her sound check! She did TC, TSMGO, JIOTI and other one and during the soundcheck céline shouted to the waiting people! And said something like; hopefully it won't rain tonight... It was so great to have an interaction like that! another great thing was that Aaron was taking pictures and we first shouted AAROOOON!! but he went the other way, then after a while he came back and I shouted AARON so long! LOL he looked our way and smiled! and took a picture of us!! I wonder what they'll do with those pictures!!

 

Like Stijn said the organisation was horrible! At one point in our line some people got into a fight and well there was security and police, but they didn't really do anything calm then down, it was more like they were agrivating them even more! also the entering was also so badly arranged! it toke for ever to get into the square! In the end i saw people that were behind us waiting, standing in front of us in the crowd! blah!

 

Vox Angeli was hmmm well it was nice and all, but all the songs sounded alike and well since I was awake since 5.30 am with only 4 hours of sleep, I nearly fell asleep but they were sweet... Micheal Grogorio was also good, but I didn't think his performance was a good as in Antwerp and Paris! after we went on the square, time really flew by! and I was so happy when it finally was 9.30 pm!

 

Nick came on stage and he took a picture of the crowd.... we also saw céline coming on stage and went to the dressing room on the left. About that... it didn't bother me at all! If you paid attention to the show on stage, and not only focus on céline, you wouldn't see it all at... I really like the fact that this was a standing concert... and a normal stage. Céline isn't all over the place and you get to see her all the time, I only have one butt picture this time! LOL

 

Now about the setlist, yeah I'm kinda bummed she didn't sing Alone and ESNRQ! but she did gave a big show all the way! from all the concerts I've been to, this one was the best!!! Céline was amazing! there was a lot of interaction, she talked a lot and this show wasn't as directed as the other ones! Céline was really relaxed herself and you could just see her enjoying herself and having fun! Like others said, she made up a song for us, about the rain, and when she was singing that, she reminded me of the 'old', young, innocent céline truely amazing!!!

 

There were so many highlights in the concert... Taking Chances, Destin, the red ballons with My Love, her sitting in the rain with S'il suffisait d'aimer, The show must go on, which is turning into a big favourite of mine... it just belongs in the show!! during that song, céline moved her and through the water on the stage, and moved her hand along Andrés face, that was cool! she also did some improvisation after my love... and RDMH reminded me of AND, performed like this! But the best part (for me) was PQTME, she really did sing it for and with us... and at the end she said Je vous aime! that was so cool! AND during the ending, they were filming the crowd, and i had a red ballon with 'I love you' on it, and i hold it up the whole time... and when they were filmin the crowd, it was focussed on my ballon, and I saw myself on the screen! so I was finally on stage with céline hahahaha after PQTME they all toke a bow together, and that is so so so much better then the ending of the in the round stage! Céline walked to the left to go away, but she stood there for a few seconds, you saw she didn't wanted to leave, and enjoyed the applause so much it was awesome

 

I hope to post some pictures later... I made some great ones, and I managed to film the vous etes froid song and the improvisation, plus The Show Must Go On and Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore in full this concert was a great ending of my taking chances tour experience! I am sad it's over, but not sad I won't see anymore shows... but who knows where the road will lead me

 

The merchandise was cheaper btw! they didn't have everything anymore but the white sweater with the hood was only 40 euros now, instead of 60, but they didn't have my size! I did buy the white cotton bag, which was only 10 euros now. and the normal t shirts were 25 now! If I'd known that! LOL! I think the USA they will get different shirts, at least shirts with all the states on the back.

Anyone has a photo like this with Celine on big screen?

 

It's a picture of the festival on the 3 days before Céline. (It's actually a new festival twinned with the Belgian festival "Rock Werchter"). The picture is probably taken by a press photographer (even probably from the restaurant "La Rapiere" where the pressoffice was located) so I guess some will show up later

The concert was INCREDIBLE!

FORMIDABLE!!

AMAZING!!!

WONDERFUL!!!

FANTASTIC!!!

 

I took some videos with my videorecorder and put them on youtube. Unfortunatily my battery was empty so I coulnd’t take so much. But I’m so happy with what I have!!! My camera was HOLY that night.

We made a group photo and it takes a long time before we had a good one, because the whole time people were walking through the image.
