Taking Chances World Tour DVD Pre-Release Thread Part 1

A live CD would have to have:

 

1. I Drove All Night (with the little intro bit)

2. J'irai ou tu iras

3. Destin

4. Taking Chances

5. Est s'il n'en restait qu'une

6. Eyes on Me

7. Ziggy

8. L'amour existe encore

9. Dans un autre monde

10. All By Myself

11. I'm Alive

12. Shadow of Love

13. Fade Away

14. Je sais pas

15. Alone

16. Pour que tu m'aimes encore

17. Think Twice

18. My Love

19. S'il suffisait d'aimer

20. The Prayer

21. It's A Mans World

22. River Deep Mountain High

 

I know there's too many for a CD but I can't choose any more I want to cut out!

Having a french and an english concert in one boxset doesn't make much sense to me, I'd much rather they release them separately, we can always get it online anyway.. (And a CD would be nice, but if they don't include that you can always rip the sound. For personal use of course)

 

 

I'd love a cd with the dvd. But if they do, its got to be either the entire concert, or an edited (only songs we haven't already got on a live cd) version. So no TPOL, IACBTMN,BYLM,TLYM,PQTME,IA,LCMM. I don't mind IDAN + MHWGO on it as they opened and closed the show - but none of the others i've mentioned - if they really have to edit it that is. Or even the occasional songs like A Song For You, CFTF etc if they don't put them as extras on the dvd.

Yeah there's so many new songs, and all those old french ones that need to be on CD so we have a 21st century live version.

It's a lot of songs, but some songs were really short, so it could work! and the Queen tribute can't be missed! it was one of the highlights of the night IMO!

Obviously. But at this point, the fact that the DVD was cancelled would be more believable. There are absolutely no information about this DVD at all, everything that has been said has been revoked. See how fast that French dvd was released... If they want to make one, they would make it happen! Caesar build Rome faster than this.

Such a big release would not be cancelled. Even if you look at it financially, too much has been spent already for it to be shelved...not a chance..

Ok so there's no certain fact that we are getting the 2 dvd combo with the boston concert and montreal concert? like originally was stated? I think that the Montreal DVD will be sold in Francephone countries while the Boston in Anglophone.

 

They know that there target American audience (the casual fan) could care less if they get a French DVD on top of an English one (because they know Celine for her English songs, not her French songs...so why start promoting her french stuff in the US now??). It wouldn't make sense for them to go through the trouble and expenses to satisfy there minority audience (the crazy fans like us).

you know what.. I think they fooled us and that the live in Quebec dvd already serves as the French dvd they promised us.. so I don't think we are getting two dvd's at once and I also have me questions about releasing the Montreal concert on dvd at all... But we can still dream and hope!

Guys, you know she's never released an entire show on a CD, so I really don't believe she'll start now, so 22 songs seems very unrealistic and hence improbable. What we could expect is a French show (so Live in Montreal or so) with around 15 songs on the CD if we're lucky.

and as many said i dont' think they would release both french / english concert together..

well i don't mind so that we can get more footage from Celine!! lol the English Celine and French Celine

and i do hope there would be like 2 bonus dvd one around the world the trips and holidays and things, the other one with like backstage and maybe like bonus performance that was only perform in some countries

this would make a really good dvd!! ahaha and would top AND dvd too lol

Somehow it's cool that somebody who always kept calm, gave us the information about when the thing will finally be released and not the guy who claims for months that he will get THE call about the DVD today or tomorrow but somehow never got it ;-)

 

That is what I was writing before, it is fantastic when people who have contacts keep the fans informed, I am very thankful for that but only if it is real information ( like we got it now) ^^and not some information about possible information we might get someday.

If anything it should be out before valentines day, that would make more sence. im sure they want to make some good sales out of this DVD, they rnt puting it out in the most sensible time (christmas), so im sure they rnt that stupid to put it out when there is no occasion for selling it. Im happy that its coming outnow but im a bit annoyed that they havent brought it out for christmas, it makes so much more sence. im also upset that i cant watch it over the christmas holiday

Oh I'm so confused about all this talk about the DVD and the speculation of the dates.. So in the end, how reliable are these sources, does anyone really know??

I think I won't believe any announcement concerning the release date until it is officially confirmed by Céline's team, at her site. Hopefully it'll happen soon though!

I have a few good contacts in different ''areas'' regarding Celine.

And obviously in this line of work, things may change, as we have seen the hard way for ourselves in the past for watever reason ( long delays/ changes being made etc) which is frustrating and dissappointing , so obviously people are gonna be doubting at the moment, which is understandable and cool, its only normal!

 

But personally in my eyes, this contact is my best, and is always spot on, so fingers crossed from here all deadlines are met on time, and we all get the dvd we deserve and having been waiting so long for, by March.
