I kinda wish we could have a locked topic where one or two members could post news about this release

There is so much complaining. I understand that some of you are not pleased but difficult to go through all those complaining posts to find out some news about this

I'm just guessing here but perhaps people are reading too much into this comment I think what is trying to be said is that it's not very easy to distinguish and identify the facts about the release of the DVD's and if thats the case then I would agree. Perhaps it would be good to have some kind of link with just the official news and one which would discusses the topic of the release - only a thought and maybe something to consider in the future. I'm sure not everyone will agree - but it's always good to discuss ideas with others.

I just really really hope that all the e-mails you guys are sending them doesn't lead to them pushing the release date even further... At this stage I don't care anymore. I just want the frigging DVD.

If don't mind waiting longer if it means they'll get it right and release the FULL concert. Once it's released, that's it. I want it to be perfect.

Exactly what I was trying to say I have nothing against the complaining but when we come to this topic and there are maybe 2-3 pages since we last visited, it's difficult to see what are facts and what are not and takes a while to read through.

Quick question. For those of you making the covers with the old Celine logo, how do you get it on there with nothing in the background? I cannot seem to find a way to put it on any pictures without having the background picture still attached. I see this is kind of off topic, but I thought I would ask here since so many people do such a good job with their covers.

Quick question. For those of you making the covers with the old Celine logo, how do you get it on there with nothing in the background? I cannot seem to find a way to put it on any pictures without having the background picture still attached. I see this is kind of off topic, but I thought I would ask here since so many people do such a good job with their covers.

it is a masking technique in photoshop;

But to get the background away - you have to go to channels in photoshop. You see R G B. You choose the channel which gives the best black/white presentation of your pic. What you are going to do, is make a mask; white reveals, black conceils.

Make a copy of either the R or G or B channel, and use the paintbrush, selections, the pentool to make a nice mask.

Remember you only work in BLACK and WHITE.

Then click on the composite channel which is RGB, you then have everything in color again.

Then go to your layers, and click on the layer that has to be selected, click CTRL ALT 4 ( and why 4, rgb consists of 3 channels, the new channel with your mask is 4, but if you make more masks, it can also be 5 etc) then click on the mask icon in your layers palet, and the pic is masked, CTRLi inverses the mask. To finetune the mask you click on the mask and either paint in it, make a selection in it, blur it or you can simply go to filter, gaussian blur and take that slider to the right until you like the result...

Some masks are easy to make but some of them, esppecially when masking hair etcetera, it can take a long time to make a nice mask.

afterwards you can use it for all sorts of things, give it another color, give it a shiny glow, etcetera.
