3rd single for europe?

Ok, so the UK gets "Eyes On Me" as the 2nd single, and Europe gets "Alone".

Then for the UK, the 3rd single definately should be a [real power] ballad. I don't know if "Alone" would still work by then (assuming it would be released in Spring). So I'd go for "I Got Nothin' Left".

For Europe, the 3rd single should definately be an up-tempo song. I would still love to see how "Eyes On Me" would do in Europe, and it is a nice song for spring. But, again here, I don't know if it would work after releasing it in the UK.... My choice would be between "Can't Fight The Feelin'" and "Fade Away".

As for the 4th single (there should be one!).. that one should be released early Summer, and should definately be a up-tempo song. "Eyes On Me" could be a great one for Europe. Or "Fade Away" (I don't want to have both "Shadow Of Love" and "Fade Away" released, it should be either one of them)....

I don't know if there's much point in a 3rd single to be honest if Sony are going to continue to treat Celine's single releases the way they have been recently. Literally no-one in the UK knows Celine has a new single out this week, she's going to chart at her worst ever chart position in the UK. Sending the song to one radio station in the UK (Radio 2) is not promotion, however much Sony UK think it is.

Regardless, if we do get a third single, it simply NEEDS to be a hit. The easy choice would be "Alone", it would gather airplay on the fact the original was so popular and also we saw the impact it had when the album first came out. However a more risky, edgy choice would be "I Got Nothin' Left" especially if they could somehow work Ne-Yo's part into something more significant. If they did and made a video and sent the song to all radio stations I don't see how it could fail to be a hit.

Whatever they choose though, lessons must be learned from "Eyes On Me."

I cant answer coz like many others, I'm still waiting for 2nd single! and in my honest opinion I think EOM will be 3rd siingle in many countries. And if I'm not wrong someone posted that during the world tour she will sing 4 songs from TCH
1)Taking Chances
2)Alone
3)Eyes on Me
4) That's just the woman in me

so in a way,maybe, we already have the singles!

Somehow I have always had very hard time picturing Céline ever doing TJTWIM live, I don't know why, I would surely love to enjoy this live more than any other track on the album, but since all this lipping going on I am not eager anymore, I'm not even sad I haven't got a tour ticket...

I can picture however she doing CFTF live, I think it's gonna be the new DOL.

3rd single ="shadow of love" for me

im guessing im the only one but i think "i got nothin left" is a terrible song!!

cant believe it would ever be considered for a single let alone to be included on the album.

its such a dreary and depressing song!!(sorry to all the guys who like it)its just not for me!!

i have to agree with everyone who is saying that no matter what song choice has been suggested as a single they will all get to 110 on the uk charts without the promo.so saying that "eyes on me" was a bad choice is not the case.

"eyes on me" i think was a great choice for a single and could have went top 10 easy with even a little promo in the uk. a few good mixes, a video and the all important radio one playlist would have secured it.(tho we all knew that radio one wouldnt happen....)

classic case is britneys "piece of me".its on the radio one playlist,has a video, some good mixes,no promo from britney herself of course but according to the newspaper today it will still jump to no.2 on the uk charts this sunday!!

and im sure most people will agree "eyes on me" is ten times the song that britneys is!!

such a shame and waste of a good single for celine....

I personally think they should release a non album track which is "The Best" and then release a tour edition of the album with the song on it. failing this "Alone" for the UK where it entered the chart on the strength of the album alone and "Shadow of Love" or " Fade Away" for europe

My favourite however is "Skies of LA" but sadly no one thinks it is a good single

HAHAHA! It's a fine track, a bit wierd for being Céline Dion though, not so commercial and not built in the banal dramaturgy as the rest of her songs, and the sound is simply dreamy. :wub: However, like I said it's a wierd song, a nice closer though, and I still continue to say this should had been a ghost track, instead of an ordinary track.

I could see this as a single though if it got remixed and featured as a duet - like Dido's Thank You did with Eminem and turned into the hit Stan... Perhaps this would be time to pair up with Timberland...?

cant fight the feeling .

this way celine gives eu and uk the best ballads from the album that we know they all want and love celine to do but the other 3 i mentioned show cases celine as someone who can uptemo and rock and therfore shows the new direction of the album .xx

''Eyes On Me'' could still work I think. ''Fade Away'' and ''Eyes On me'' are the only songs on the album that are INSTANT favourites. ''Shadow Of Love'' is more of a grower. We need something that will grab people's attention from the first listen and those two songs have got great intros.

''Alone'' is still the safest thing to do though...but perhaps a slight risk would be better? :yes:

I agree that ''I Got Nothin' Left'' could be a good choice if Ne-Yo would perform the song with her several times and if he would appear in the video as well. It would definitely create some hype and it's not a hard song to like...the melody is instantly catchy :yes:
