I get the impression many of you feel the same but I can tell you that in the UK where image is everything, it is just not acceptable to admit to buying Céline's music. Even though her success is a clear indication (to me) of her talent, it's just not cool to be her fan. I can't help but think that it's partly because she doesn't drink, she doesn't take drugs, has never been photographed behaving outrageously outside clubs, is actually happily married to the first man she fell in love with and, to top it allm is hugely rich and successful. They tried attacking her relationship with René but she proved them wrong. If there's nothing else to criticise then it's easy just to say her music is terrible and, sin of all sins, she doesn't write her own material (!) Maybe Céline should be photographed snorting coke in a hotel room... that way Alone is bound to make it to No 1 in the UK! Couldnt agree more with you! Black Kitten Posted April 26, 2008 at 02:32 PM Posted April 26, 2008 at 02:32 PM i just checked her lyrics and i can't believe what i've seen. her lyrics are so deep and you can really tell how troubled she is. just like Fergie. a lot of critics are dismissing her as a great artist, but she really is. her music may sound just a party music to everyone, but the lyrics are somewhat real and deep. Amy is a great artist. Back to Black is a classic album that everyone can remember even after 20 years. Quote

Incredible music, jaw-dropping voice, beautiful lyrics, just seriously incredible. It's honestly really sad that her personal life is so screwed up, because she is such a talented woman and I would so love to see a third album.
