Cool pics, it's interesting to see that the walkwaks actually fit into the arena this time and don't need to be evevated. Although it seems the outer cage wasn't used at this show either. I guess it's been ditched!

Thomas, what do you mean by outer cage? I read elsewhere about there being changes made between the shows at Manchester, something to do with the screens that surround Celine. I just can't think what people are talking about... I guess I was concentrating so hard on concentrating that I actually missed these details...! Can you describe it to me? thanks

In this pic from the first Manchester show you can see there are two sets of screens that surround the platform where Celine makes her entrance and exit. The outer square box was only used in the first date and wasn't used for any of the other UK shows, but we don't know why it was removed or whether it'll come back!

It's been used in Japan too. Weird they remove it for the other UK shows.

Thanks for the info! Was the introductory video montage shown on this outer screen? I seem to remember them being much clearer on the first show... but that might just be because I was further from the stage and therefore had a better view of it...?

Yeah, then when this one rose up towards the end of the IDAN intro, the smaller screens underneath were revealed and then both sets showed the final video of historic Celine moments.

Attended the soundcheck yesterday at the NIA. We met the rep from Sony outside who amazingly looks like Celine. She joked she was morphing into her! We were handed our passes - a big 'Celine eye' which we proudly attached to our chests and stayed on mine all night!

 

Security opened the doors and we were lead in to our seats which were at the front by the walkway. The band were hanging around on the stage practicing their various instruments and the backing singers were there also with a few dancers. They started up a song and were singing their vocals but with no main singer, so a few of us sang Celine's part! Don't think they heard us and there's no danger that we'll be offered a job!! When they finished we gave a loud cheer and clapped which amused them There were only 6 of us but we pretty much made a loud noise and they laughed and waved to us!

 

Celine entered the stage and as well as being in awe of the great lady our mouths dropped open when we saw what she was wearing. I'm sure some fashion expert will tell me it's very expensive, straight off the catwalk and the 'in' thing but I'm not so sure! It can only be described as an oversized nappy!! It looked like it should have been a pair of black loose flowing trousers but the ends were pulled up and joined under her gusset. That's the best I can do to describe it sorry, perhaps one of the others there will be able to elaborate more. Her top was purple with batwing sleeves and the shoes were her usual killers. Nevertheless, she was there in person and it wouldn't have mattered if she was wearing a bin bag.

 

We gave a loud cheer when she arrived on stage and she acknowledged us with a wave and a 'hi'.

She started off with TC but it was totally different to the version she sings normally. She improvised and changed it around and it was amazing. We screamed and clapped and cheered when she finished and I think she was amused as she turned to us and said 'thank you'.

 

She did Man's World several times in full and Show must go on. But what was great was the French songs they were practising in preparation for Paris.

 

She spoke most of the time in French but the lady was certainly in charge on the stage. At one point she asked if it was ok for the tour photographer to be on the walkway. Not sure if it was concern or if he shouldn't have been there!

 

She came onto the walkway and sang to us and at the end did her little move where she puts her arm in the air and points....so Wendy and myself did it back and she smiled.

 

Before we knew it the time was 6.15 and the doors opened at 6.30 so she had to stop and our own personal concert had come to an end. Before she left she said goodbye and told us to enjoy the show.

 

The icing on the cake was getting my programme signed.

 

I won't say much about he concert itself as others have already done so. It was funny the way she cracked up and couldn't do her usual serious intro for My Love. In fact, she realised the moment had gone when she told the audience it wasn't helping her presentation of the song!!

 

All in all a great end to a week in the UK of which I have been fortunate to attend all shows. Only spoilt by sitting next to the smelliest person in the world last night that I thought I was going to be sick!. People around me were spraying their perfumes to try to mask the smell.

 

Jackie, Wendy 1 and Wendy 2 and Shoib...it was great to meet you all, I'm sure our paths will cross again.

I think that's a very accurate description except she was also wearing a short "chainmail" waistcoat over it all. The "trousers" reminded me of a garment I've seen some Indian gentlemen wearing (I don't want to offend anyone here but I have no idea what its called), but Celine's costume did remind me of a somewhat saggy nappy!!! Those shoes were great though.

 

I loved the bit where she kept singing "Nothing" (from Its A Man's World) when she was obviously having trouble with her ear pieces or microphone (not sure which). They must have been asking "Can you hear now?" or "Is it working now?". She was getting more and more frustrated and her voice was getting louder and louder - OMG the power of it! A guy came on stage and switched/fiddled with her micrphone and she was fine after that.

 

Jackie - it was great meeting you too (and all the others) - sorry about your neighbour during the show. I don't know what I'd have done

 

 

I attended the soundcheck too with those above and I had the most amazing time, almost two hours of it. had some laughs and sign language with Elise and Mary Lou when we applauded their french singing and I stood up to show them the reverse of my T. Shirt which they acknowledged. Lemay was practising guitar and I waved so he bowed to acknowledge. Celine was on about 45 mins, yes she was wearing a strange costume but she still looked great and guys she 's got some muscles on those legs for a change, maybe it's those shoes!!!

So nice to see them all practising in their natural state.

It was very much as said above by the other Jackie and WendyB, it was great to meet you all too and that you had such a fabulous time, a memory that will be cherished for ever. Stay in touch...

There were two Jackie's and Wendy's if your confused.

I got my programme SIGNED too and it sure was the icing on the cake, I shall treasure it forever.

Thanks to Celine, the Band, Darren for the soundcheck competition (without this would never have happened) still can't believe I was one of the winners) and Shoshanna from Sony for your friendliness and company throughout and making our dreams come true. Haven't come back down to Earth yet. I sent her a txt Thank You on all our behalves.

Pity we never got to talk to Celine up close but we have more than we ever realised.

 

This show WAS the Best ever, the crowd was up for everything,, singing and dancing, the ovations she got, and you could see the recognition in Celine's face and she was really enjoying herself. It was a fantastic night. One guy shouted "I Love You" then another guy shouted the same and Celine said "I Love You Most"

Other people have commented on the show above so all I will say is all you people in the rest of Europe in waiting, USA and Canada prepare yourself cause you are in for one hell of a treat. xx Jackie T.

Yep, it was a FANTASTIC show!!!!! Celine was on TOP FORM last night!!!! It was my third show on this tour and by far the best!!! Had front row seats thanks to Team Celine, and I managed to record the entire concert on my Mini Disc recorder (I sneaked the microphone into the Arena hidden inside a packet of Maltesers ). The quality is brilliant... I'll upload it once I've transfered it onto the computer.

 

The only downside was some sad B****** behind telling us to sit down!!!! But Celine was so loud I couldn't hear him at all!!!!!!!

 

THANKS CELINE FOR A FANTASTIC NIGHT... ONE I'LL NEVER FORGET!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

 

I'm just back home!

The concert yesterday was just FANTASTIC!

My aunt was with me and she also liked it! She said she never saw such a beautiful concert!

 

The most things are already said, but I saw something funny:

There were a couple of people in the first row (ground floor, blok , who had the lyrics from "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" on a piece of paper in front of them. They were singing it loud.

The backing vocals, right in front of them, saw them singing and they had to laugh (I think they thought these people are crazy, lol). I think it was very funny!

Was this someone from this forum?

 

By the way I love the crowd and I think Celine really enjoyed it, just like me!!!

Thanks...your pics are great. You seem to catch her with great expressions/movement so that it seems that they come to life. And about the TUM...ya...I've been seeing things too. I'm hoping it's just a middle age tummy bump; besides, it would be about time that her body starts to show it's age just a little. Actually, come to think of it, it's probably the hormones she's taking to get ready for in-vitro that's causing a bit of bloating.

 

A question for any of you who have seen her outside hotels, etc lately. Where's Nick? I haven't seen him lately. Do you think he's on vacation or something. I guess he needs time off sometimes too. The job seems to be a 24/7 one!

I tend to over analyse everything, maybe that's why. But yeah, it makes me kind of interested in whatever she says about the song. Also makes me like the song less, unfortunatley :S

It screams out how she truely feels, and that she does everything for everyone else, but herself...no matter what it takes, no matter how she feels...she is a person who will never say "enough" or "no". Celine strives to please everyone...the woman is tired.

You said it makes you like the song less...I hated that song when I first got the album, up until I saw that video...and now it has made me love it even more. Something that is REALLY about her...I just find it very touching ...
