Ultimate Box 2008 to be released on Feb 2008 in Japan, 2CD+3DVD

I wish this release was published earlier!!

 

I wonder how long the recording session dvd will last! the only new one is My Love... and I'll bet the TC recordings is the video we first saw on amazon

The recording session DVD would ve 100 minutes. And the Disc 4 VIDEO COLLECTIONS DVD would be 2 hours long.

This is some real collector edition, comparing to the US collector edition.

 

Yes, but why didn't they include the complete recording session (where's Shadow of Love, Fade Away, That's Just The Woman In Me etc.)? This way it still feels incomplete . They're probably saving it for Taking Chances re-release.

 

I'm done! I'm tired of all these freakin' re-releases and whatnot! Why don't they just create ONE item with everything and release it so people don't go bankrupt and end up homeless!!? Sure it's a great compilation, but we had known this earlier, we could've saved so much money! They're already like 7 different editions of TC! And they each have something the others don't!

 

They've gotta stop this.... it doesn't make sense! If they're gonna do this, they should have all planned out before the first release and let fans know of the different release dates before we go out and spend $100+ on stuff they already bought four months earlier!

I have a question. The charts positions I posted are for the Complete Best Cd. Is this considered as same as this Deluxe Box, or will they have two different chart positions??

I am confused, I thought it was one and the same disc.

Its VERY simple to use your computer to convert the DVDs from Region 2 to region 1 for playback on American players. Ive done it and it works perfectly. All you need is 'AnyDVD' and 'DVDClone' (both are available free in shareware form) Its a great way to watch all of Celine's international releases on American players!!

 

I would SERIOUSLY re-think your decision not to buy the collection. It really is top-notch!

I've just finished watching all of the recording sessions again and have to say that every Celine fan must own this collection. Just sayin...

 

BTW.. Regarding the Music Video DVD, its identical to the ATW DVD (even with the still frame intros wth titles) up until 'You and I'; from there, the videos come one after the other. Every video is DVD quality EXCEPT 'You and I', which is curious... Why did Sony Music Japan not use the original prints? The quality is more like a VCD or MPG than DVD. It still looks better than online, but it is very noticable. I wonder if Sony lost the original and has been forced to use a pre-aired version. This wouldn't suprise me since they did the same with the ONCP DVD (or am i the only one who noticed? If so, look again). I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with not having the rights to the video, because it IS on the set and the lyrics are even in the booklet ... very odd.

 

With that said, save up and buy it!

I know me too!!! Taking Chances is in widescreen and EXCELLENT quality. I actually understood the plot alot better

I was totally looking forward to excellent quality for this video too. And I noticed the horrible quality of the US version of ONCP too. I posted a thread about the bad quality of DVDs a while ago. I heard the international releases of ONCP were better than the North American release.

 

Anway, it's extremely disappointing to hear that the quality of YAI sucks.

Thank you for the information. However, I'm not going to spend close to $100.00 to then have to go and touch-up or fix it so I can use it. I don't believe in doing it for clothes and I'm sure as heck not going to start doing it for DVDs - especially after hearing about the so-so quality for "You And I."

 

I've never understood the point of having different region coding for DVDs. If it's a piracy issue then whey don't they have it for audio CDs? It's stupid, really.
