I have 3 tickets for a showing of the DVD in Las Vegas. I can't go so I am looking to sell them for face value to someone who is going to be in Vegas that Monday. They are will call so I will have to pick them up Saturday morning if anyone would be interested in buying them.

I bought 2 tickets to see the "Las Vegas" show in the movies, but Imax is not playing it. So please do not mislead people.

I contacted Fanthom events and they said that they will be playing the "Las Vegas" DVD. I wonder why they initially said

that it was going to be a broadcast of the final show. It sounds like it was a marketing tool to sell tickets.

In any case, I have not seen the "Las Vegas" show in person or the new DVD, so it's ok for me to go to the movies to see it.

Maybe it will make me buy the DVD quicker because I did not feel like buying it for some reason when it came out earlier this week in the US.

So , more people wanted to come to the show with me this monday so i went to the IMAX box office to get more tix and the lady laugh at me saying that they sold out 2 days after they went on sale! Im glad i got the 15 the first day.

I went to the Imax website, and nowhere there it says that they are playing it.

Fanthom Events does not list any Imax either...

OMG, I can't belive they are gonna show the last night in movie theaters.this is brillant! I will be going.I cant wait...this is amazing,I love this show soooo much.what a great idea to show this in movie theaters.I hope someone in Canada records the special on TV Dec 15 2007.

Since this is TONIGHT (YAY! :clap: ), I thought I would see if we have any OFFICIAL confirmation as to what we will be watching tonight. We all know that her final shows were recorded so will we be seeing one of those or the DVD... Since I want able to be there for the final bow, I hope its the final show but the logistics of filming, copying in HD, and mailing the reels to theatres all over (in 2 days) sound terribly difficult.

I guess Celine has a lot of fans here in houston, They added 2 more theaters due to high demand of tickets. I was told yerterday when buying a couple of more tickets. Im glad !

I was JUST about to post something similar here. They;ve added a second showing at the same IMAX theatre! The second show starts 1 minute after the first!!

 

Still, any word on which show we will be watching?

On my local theatre's website it says :

 

In celebration of the release of Celine Dion’s last show in Las Vegas, Fathom is presenting a one-night premiere event. The event will showcase a pre-taped show from one of her Las Vegas performances along with an additional 15 minutes of unique content that will only be seen in theatres.

 

hmm.. only in theatres?

EDIT: WAIT!!! Nevermind!! I went to Fandango for the heck of it just to see and they had tickets!!! So I got one now! :w00t: :w00t:!!!!!

probably the DVD. the official site sponsering it says previously recorded... and doesnt say anything about it being the FINAL show.... so... boo... but im gonna go see it anyway! big screen!! whoohoo!!

I just got back from the screening, and NEVER in my LIFE have I ever, EVER experienced something more INCREDIBLE and just flat-out AMAZING! Celine on the big-screen is definately something to be cherrished... and since this is as close as I got to really "seeing" 'A New Day...' I'll never forget tonight! Oh my gosh! I cried!! It's just incredible and in my opinion just absolutely PERFECT!!! I've fallen in love with Celine all over again!!! :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub:

i'm soooooo disappointed!! They missed the first 3 songs of th show... and started early. There was technical difficulties the first 45 minutes. I was soooooo disappointed! bla. but the rest of the show was awesome. Reminded me of time when i was there!!

Meh...it started early and there were difficulties with the sound during the first 3-4 songs. Where is the 15 minute exclusive clip in theaters only? :ermm: There is also no speech from Celine.

Yeah! I loved seeing Celine on the big screen. She is BEST. My mom and I really enjoyed ourselves. I really wanted to clap after every song and hoot and holler and dance, but most of the audience were older couples wearing fur coats and too much perfume.

 

So I tapped my foot and lipped the words and swayed my head. : )

 

Our theater in Atlanta messed up the sound for about 30 seconds in the beginning of ANDHC. My only complaint is that the color remained washed out the entire time. It was like the color saturation was set to 30%. Everything looked grey and dull.

But the sound was excellent!

 

Everyone clapped like crazy after I Surrender.

 

A ton of folks thought this would be a broadcast of the FINAL show. AND I did not see any special 15 minute thing from Celine. No bonus footage. JUST THE CONCERT ITSELF.

 

Amazing but I would have liked to have heard a message from Celine to all of us watching in the theater and maybe some scenes from the bonus footage of the DVD.

 

Overall, I'm disappointed with Fathom. They committed false advertising.
