Not a fan is one thing, telling you'd listen to anything EXCEPT, and who didn't want to ever meet in the elevator is another thing. Sounds very rude to me.
I'm sure he was quite aware of himself, where he was, and what he was doing.
He was on public radio...

And he specifically singled-out Celine: Not just once, but TWICE.

That's what I mean. I wonder how will Federer's fans react if others said the same thing to him.

Yeah, me too and I can assure you that plenty of Federer fans are Celine fans as well and they Love TC According to the logic of some of the members here they could have easily said that since Roger doesn't like Celine, we won't like her from now on...

And if you read that interview you can see that he never said that he hates Celine, and the second answer was just for fun. Like the whole interview was just pure fun, nothing more and it's more than a year and a half old interview.

Whatever, Rafa Nadal will overtake #1 soon, and I'm sure he does like Celine.

If he doesn't change his technique based purely on power I don't think so. He doesn't have too many chances to overtake or maintain the #1 status. He is a fantastic player but due to his playing technique he always suffers and has injuries during the second part of the season which is really a pity because I love the matches between the two of them.

By the way, what if he doesn't like Celine either? :mellow:

Yeah, but the thing is that he did not talk trash about Celine. He just said that he wouldn't like to listen to her music while stuck in an elevator. There is nothing insulting in this, he was just asked a question and he aswered it honestly. I don't think that Celine would make a big deal out of it or she even cares. She even mentioned several times that she knows that not everyone likes her and it's totally normal and there's nothing wrong with it. So if it doesn't bother her it shouldn't bother us either.

I think in this "celebrity" case it's more rude of him to announce his dislike of her for millions to know in such a arrogant manner. This whole thing isn't a big deal really. If you notice my first post all I said was I'm glad I've always liked Andy Roddick better. End of story. I don't give a flying fig for what the man likes or dislikes, that's his choice. Yes, Jen but he just pointed out his own likes and dislikes. And plus, he never used the word hate. And even Roger's gonna laugh all the way to the bank cos he's been on top of his game for so many years now. Just like Celine is on top of her own game. Roger is anything but arogant. That interview was after a very bad match yet he still maintained his composure. He even joked about it in a later interview.

But still I dont find a reason that if someone doesn't like Celine or maybe even hate, we have to hate that person. One of my friends really really hate her music, but that doesn't mean that I will hate him. He's one of the nicest persons i know! :shrug:

He said nothing about music but basically based his dislike about the way she looks

now i think this is worse & it was in an interview a couple of months ago!

So if your going to complain,, complain about some one like Noel Gallagher not

some one who just dislikes her music!! because im sure theres like a million people in the world who dislike her music!!

By the way, does anyone know more about this Bart Tanski guy who's a fan of Celine's music? What I know is that he's a high school senior who plays quarterback for the Ohio Cardinals. He just won the AP Mr.Football award.
