Here's a thought.

 

Celine Dion received her honor of 100,000,000 records in 1999.

 

Now, 2007, she's been declared as having sold 200,000,000 records.

 

That's 100,000,000 in the last seven years... makes you wonder eh?

oh my God! Concerning the best selling female artist (even though celine is my favorite artist miles ahead of anyone but facts are facts), here it is:

 

1- Madonna: 190 million album - 85 million singles

2- Celine: 175 million albums - 40 million singles

3- Mariah: 160 million albums - 45 million singles

 

so madonna sold 275 million records, celine 215 million and mariah 205 million

wasnt itaround a new day has come that she was recognised for selling £175 mil albums??, since then the few albums she has released have sold that staggering, is say shes roung £185 mil

I have found an article before as to who are leading to become the best selling artist of the decade ( 2000 - 2009 ). Eminem was first place and close to him is Britney Spears. I think they were near to or more than 50 million albums sold.

 

 

I don't think Norah has a chance.

Madonna NEVER ever sold so many albums... she's a single-artist. TC is Celine's 26th studio album (minus 9 vinyl) and Madonna has released maybe 10 albums? She's nowhere near 150M.
