Will Celine ever record a spanish album?

, I'd INSIST on her not putting covers of her English or French songs on it (as the results of "I Don't Know" and "If That's What It takes" are FREAKIN' AWFUL), but I think it would be a lovely project for Celine.

Oh I loooove these two songs in English! I think after hearing the lines " you can sleep in my arms, you don't have to explain" made me fall in love with if that's what it takes. There is something sweet and touching about those lines for me, the man usually would hold the woman but she will hold her man without no explanation! Sorry it's cute.... But I am a tad soppy at times lol

I love If That's What It Takes, too - loved it before I ever heard PQTME. I love the passion and intensity of the soaring vocals: "I will stand like a rock/I will bend til I break . . ." It's about passionate love, but it's less desperate than PQTME. PQTME sounds like someone who's lost a love desperately trying to get it back ..If That's What It Takes is more about being there, supporting the other person completely.

Look at the lyrics to Pour que tu m'aimes encore. They cannot be beat. They are the words of a cr@zy *CENSORED*. The english adaptions are awful. Why fix it if it ain't broken?

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

- Céline Dion, 1990

I don't find them (the English trans.) awful but they really don't compare or touch the original feeling. Does that make since? Like you say Alex, when you listen to PQTME, I get this feeling of "crazy *cencored*" desperation.

Wow we are really straying off here!

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I agree, to me the 'success' of any French into English song adaptation depends much on the lyrics used in it, it's usually very difficult to top the vibe created by the original song. :)

I know. I've seen this before...but come on!! This was a long long time ago, I bet, now she can beat that "speech" and try for a fluent interview...

The one you posted, seemed to be forced ;)

Bringing this topic alive again...

Actually I love her songs in Spanish, eventhough I don't know if the accent she has sounds like real spanish-accent ?

I'd love an album of multi-languages songs (not a compilation of her Japanese, German and so other). But a new album, for example:

- Songs in German written by German writers

- Songs in spanish written by spanish writers... and so on !

What do you think ?
