wow... my cousin has few of those french albums... im longing to have D'elles... i lost my Colours of my love and Celine Dion albums.. hindi ko na mahanap pa.. may alam ba kayo where i can purchase these albums?

guys what do u think of the album packaging? i do love digipaked cds. i find it unique and free from breaks or cracks. (look at the 1st pressings of mariah's the emancipation of mimi cd). its so unique and beautiful. but NO i am not a carey fannatic. :blink: :blink:

but celine dion's taking chances cd packaging is awful!!! i hate it!!! its doesnt have a plastic cd holder/tray to keep the cd in place! :confused:

the album is superb. i rili enjoy it. but the packaging sucks. its a foldout cardboard and the cd is placed in the right side pocket and the booklet is in the left pocket.. theres no way u can take the cd out without holding the sensitive part. :angry2: i just hate it, especially in the deluxe edition when the middle part is a pocket with the booklet inside and the cd and dvd is in the both side pocket.

I was disappointed with the packaging too when I first opened the TC CD. I just cared less. I'm not after the packaging after all.

Anyway, I cannot wait to get my hands on the new Live In Las Vegas DVD. It seems like this DVD will only be available in the Philippines next year. That's OK, I can wait. But I want it for Christmas!!! Christmas I said!!!! wahhh.... :xmas_cool:

Hmmmm... I think it's because Taking Chances is not really that catchy so deejays preferred playing Alone. But I did notice that Taking Chances came out first in MYX, the philippines music channel.

Perhaps that's because they have yet to release a video for Alone...

Sony Philippines tend to release Celine's ballads since Filipinos are known to prefer slow love songs than uptempo songs...

In 1992, they released on radio I Love You Goodbye when no one else did in the world...and in 1996-1997 I Love You became bigger than BYLM and ABM... same level as IACBTMN here in my opinion... In 1998 they also released on radio When I Need You... During One Heart era, they released Stand By Your Side instead of IDAN....

So there more ballad-y stuff from Celine here...

yay!!! the airplay of celine dion's alone here is getting heavier!!! and the reviews are quite great, though many says that celine should have at least put some "celine moments" on the song. and the album is sitting petty at #8! :clap:

I think each Odyssey store has its own chart results... in one store TCh slips to #8 while in another (during the same week) it climbs to #5...

I like the concept of the digipack and stuff... how it's green and all that... a break from the traditional jewel case plus we get to have more pics from celine... but yes, just wished they placed a plastic/carton cd holder...

STORE. thats my observation. everytime i go to odyssey, tower records, music one, astrovision or astroplus, i never noticed anyone who pick her album to buy. but when i go to SM record bars, the album is selling like hotcakes. try to go to SM NORTH, SM MEGAMALL and SM MAKATI. :clap:

i bought my dvd yesterday sa odyssey gateway mall, its Php665.. by watching the 'BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME- TRIBUTE TO THE FANS', im more prouder than ever that i am a huge fan of celine dion. such a touching scene when a guy fan learned french just to understand celine's french songs.. it made me cry a little bit.. :xmas_sad:

I just bought Celine's DVD today. Odyssey was playing her dvd with a tv. Wow! I was able to watch a little and I really love it. I'm gonna watch the dvd on my rest day.(",)

Bad news though is that I don't see the "Taking Chances" album anymore. Usually they would say it's out of stock but the company who ships or they didn't really ordered a many copies for the album. That's how I see it 'cos if they have Justin Timberlake's or Alicia Keys, they display a lot of cds.

Before the Taking Chances album was released, I asked the saleslady of Odyssey if I can order Celine Dion's previous albums and they told me that the MUsic company (somewhat like that, I don't know if she was referring to the company who produces copies of the album in the philippines or their company) doesn't issue her previous albums anymore. I felt bad about it.

Dhena, My sister wasn't able to buy the french album but she's gonna check form time to time so she can finally buy me one. Hopefully, she'll get one.

why oh why??? :confused: my dvd is in brand new condition. the dvds are scratchles, the plastic cd tray is crystal clear, the cardboard box is perfect, the book is very new. :yes: :yes:

maybe next time you should buy the sealed dvd (or cd). because some of the dvds and cds they are selling are the ones they are playing for the promo for the album/dvd in their stores.

why oh why??? my dvd is in brand new condition. the dvds are scratchles, the plastic cd tray is crystal clear, the cardboard box is perfect, the book is very new.

maybe next time you should buy the sealed dvd (or cd). because some of the dvds and cds they are selling are the ones they are playing for the promo for the album/dvd in their stores.

I was hoping "All By Myself" and "The Power of The dream" are included but it's not.

better for you guys, the stocks here in bacolod are all sold out in one day only. oddysee told me that there were only 20 copies sent to bacolod and were distribute in 3 stores here, unfortunately i wasn't able to buy mine since i was rellay busy at my work....but anyway, my cousin bought me one in manila and maybe by monday or tuesday i'l have my copy...huh!!
