My pastor has told me that I am obsessed with Celine and it is unhealthy. However, she thinks I am obsessed with everyone including her.

 

I think your pastor needs to re-evaluate her OWN way of thinking.

 

You're not OBSESSED unless you live, breathe, think about a person 24-7. Stalkers and FANATICS that try to insinuate themselves into that persons life... now THAT is UNHEALTHY behavior.

 

BUT... If you ADMIRE a person, enjoy their music and look to them as a role model - it is COMPLETELY healthy!!

Maybe someone is giving them hell for being so into Celine. Ive gotten it the past 13 years. the "don't you listen to anyone else?" "why do you like her?" and all the other various negativity. So maybe he is reaching out to know he isnt the only one lol.

I know how it is. I am very obsessed, ever since I was younger though I had an obsessive behavior. It's becoming worse and worse lately because I've been going through a rough time like sometimes it feels I have no one in the world because I don't talk to anyone about my problems because I can't really confide in anyone around here. These emotions just build up in me and Celine is my comfort zone, I feel that she is the one who gives me the hope and the strength to carry on even when my world comes crashing down. I know it's silly but she reassures me to never give up on your dreams, and I'm still holding on by my fingernails.

 

I do talk to my friend Holly, she's an online friend - best friend, about these issues I have but then when I'm fine I always can't help but bring up Celine. Or maybe I am doing something Celine related while on the phone. So I bring her up. I told my friend she must be so annoyed by me because I talk about her so often but my friend understands and says she doesn't mind it at all from me.

Holly is like the only one I trust these days. She knows everything about my life story.

 

Celine is my role model and I love her very much and my parents just don't get it. They don't get me and my life so they are always telling me that I'm unhealthy. Okay not going to lie, I made a beaded bracelet the other day for myself and it said Celine Dion, my dad made fun of me eww.

When I was home, since It's All Coming back To me Now became a hit, I would play any of my Celine Dion albums at least 3 times a week. My family would express their irritation about playing the Celine Dion albums all over and over again. I'm really obssessed with Celine Dion so they really can't do anything or i might end up arguing with them. I know that's already unhealthy but it's normal to happen once in a while right?

 

But it paid off. Everytime they hear a Celine song, and even songs that are not released nor played in tv and radios, they would know the melody and sing with it. That was my goal. For them to familiarize as many Celine songs as they can . hehehe.

 

And I get really, really happy if mom would sing some of Celine's songs.

 

 

I don't think it's wrong to be obssesed with Celine. It makes me feel happy, especially if I have problems. Just a thought of Celine and poof, i'd feel better.

i think this is already a repeated topic since we already posted our comments on 'A HEALTHY FAN'.

 

anyways, i am a huge celine fan, collect her cds, vcds and dvds. that's it. i can't say that i am a celine obsessed. many of us have different interpretation of the word 'OBSESSED'. for me, obsession is like an addiction but not in a healthy way. for example, just because you love celine dion, and everytime she endorses a new fragrance, clothing line, pillows, chopsticks, books and stuffs like that. you're buying those stuffs like crazy. i mean, celine is a performer, a singer. so she normally releases 'cds' and as a performer, she releases 'dvds' and 'videos'. so it's natural to buy those stuffs. but buying her perfumes, clothes etc is useless for me. even if you don't like the scent of her perfume, you're still gonna buy it? why? because it is celine dion's name printed on the box/bottle and it is an official celine perfume? oh well i couldn't imagine myself buying those stuffs unless i love the scent. i'm obsessed with celine's voice and her songs. i need them to keep me going. i have nothing against those who buy every single celine product. i'm just not that type of fan. i will only buy her music and concerts.
